Maa is a mythological horror drama featuring Kajol in the lead role. The film has been receiving an overwhelming response from the audience. However, fans have been eagerly waiting to know about its OTT release. A film generally comes on OTT after 40-50 days of its release. And for Maa it is being reported that it will come on Netflix.
Times Now has reported the film will be premiered on Netflix. However, the date has not been announced till now. Well, no official confirmation has also been made till now by the makers. Fans who watched the early shows of the horror mythological film in theatres, have now shared their reviews of the Kajol starrer. Early audience reactions seem positive, with X (formerly Twitter) users applauding Kajol for her brilliant performance.
Directed by Vishal Furia, the film also stars Ronit Roy, Indraneil Sengupta, and Kherin Sharma in key roles. The film's story centres on a mother, played by Kajol, who embarks on a road trip with her daughter, only to find herself confronting terrifying supernatural forces linked to a cursed tree and a sinister legend. The film is inspired by the mythological story of Goddess Kali and the demon Raktabija.
Maa marks the second instalment in Ajay Devgn's horror universe following the success of Shaitaan. With Kajol in a fierce maternal role and an intense supernatural plot, the film promises to be a gripping addition to the genre.
Recently, Kajol also shared glimpse from screening. Taking to Instagram, the 'Dilwale' actress shared a couple of her photos from a recent event for her upcoming film and captioned it, 'Wrapped in love, laughter, and maa ki blessings……both on screen and off. What a night! #MaaTheFilm #onedaytogo."
Meanwhile, in a recent interview with IANS, the 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' actress shared that working on the horror film was emotionally draining, as each scene demanded intense, sustained tension and high-strung emotions throughout.
