Galatasaray have agreed to meet Napoli's €75 million release clause for Victor Osimhen.
With personal terms already agreed with the 26-year-old, a transfer was expected to be completed soon.

Osimhen enjoyed an excellent loan spell at Galatasaray in 2024-25, bagging 37 goals and seven assists in 41 appearances across all competitions.
His goals helped the Lions win the Super Lig and the Turkish Cup, endearing him to the supporters and club management.
Okan Buruk's side want to sign him on a permanent contract and are ready to pay his enormous release clause.
But they have hit a big stumbling block over payment terms, putting the deal in danger of falling apart.
Osimhen is an elite striker who is highly rated for his pace, strength and goalscoring ability.

Since joining Napoli in 2020, he has scored 76 goals in 133 matches, powering them to the Serie A title in 2022-23.
His performances have seen him linked with some of the top European clubs, including Manchester United.
If a move to Turkey fails, the Red Devils could reignite their interest in Osimhen.
United are in the market for a striker after underwhelming displays from Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.
They view Osimhen as an excellent option but are not ready to meet his enormous wage demands.

Chelsea Are Keeping A Keen Eye On This Manchester United Winger: Good Option For Maresca?

In a recent report, ESPN's James Olley claimed that Chelsea are keeping a keen eye on Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho. It has been revealed that the Blues are monitoring the situation of the Argentine attacker as they look to recruit him this summer. Garnacho's Impressive Form In English Football Garnacho had a decent campaign at Old Trafford recently but struggled to find consistency at times for Man United in the final third. The 21-year-old found the back of the net 11 times and earned ten assists in 58 matches for the Red Devils last season in multiple competitions. The Argentine talent was a real menace in the opponent's half as he averaged 3.44 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He kept 34.5% of his attempts on target. Garnacho was tidy when interchanging possession with his teammates in the final third after completing 78.9% of his attempted passes in the English top flight (stats via Garnacho's current contract at the Mancunian club will run out in the summer of 2028. Therefore, it won't be easy for Chelsea to get a deal done for him this off-season. BILBAO, SPAIN – MAY 21: Alejandro Garnacho of Manchester United walks past the UEFA Europa League trophy after his team's defeat in the UEFA Europa League Final 2025 between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United at Estadio de San Mames on May 21, 2025 in Bilbao, Spain. (Photo by) Is Garnacho A Good Option For Chelsea Boss Enzo Maresca? Garnacho is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few dangerous runs with it in the final third. He can shoot the ball with venom from long range and has got the eye to play some killer passes in the opponent's half. The Argentina international is primarily a left-sided wide player but can also perform as a right-winger or as a centre-forward if required. He is already quite familiar with Premier League football and won't take any time to adjust to life at Chelsea. Garnacho would add more pace and goals to Enzo Maresca's frontline. He is good enough to serve as a useful rotational piece in the West London club's match-day squad. At 21, Garnacho has the potential to be a future star in the Premier League. Therefore, it makes sense for the Blues to get him on board this summer. He has what it takes to help Chelsea compete across all fronts over the next decade which makes him a decent option for the London giants to consider this off-season.

Sarina Wiegman confirms Lauren James is fit for Euro 2025 final

Sarina Wiegman confirmed that Lauren James was available for selection for the Euro 2025 final against Spain as she completed the final training session before travelling to Basel. James had picked up a knock to her ankle that saw her substituted at half time against Italy in the semi-final which left her a doubt for the showdown at St. Jakob Park on Sunday. But having completed the whole of training today, Wiegman confirmed that she had 23 players at her disposal to face the world champions as England bid to defend their European Championship crown. 'We had 23 players on the pitch today and everyone came through. Everyone recovered well and we have 23 players available for Sunday,' she said. 'We have many players that can impact and we know that [Lauren James] can impact too.' At the time of James' substitution against Italy, England found themselves a goal down owing to Barbara Bonansea's 33rd-minute strike. It was the second time in the knockout stages the Lionesses had to fight back from a deficit as they conceded twice in the first half of the quarter-final against Sweden, too. But an equaliser from Michelle Agyemang deep into stoppage time took them to extra time against Italy in Geneva before Chloe Kelly was first to react to her saved spot-kick and put England into a third consecutive major final. Such nail-biting performances has led to criticism of the levels the Lionesses are performing at as they showed a tendency to start games slowly, but Wiegman feels it is a reflection of the ever-improving standards in women's football. 'It shows what the competition is and has been in this tournament. It's improving so much and it's so competitive, every game is a hard game,' she said. 'I'm just really glad that we made it through and of course I hoped that we had done it a little bit earlier but it's also when you are in some scenarios you hope you can turn it around with some subs or a shape change. 'But the most important thing is that the players believe we can win and change the game. That's what we've shown.' That external scrutiny will continue as England head to Basel with the possibility of becoming the first England team to win a major tournament trophy on foreign soil. But Wiegman remains as calm as ever content in their achievements to-date but single-mindedly focused on preparing her team to win rather than outside perceptions. 'Every tournament of course you want to perform and there are expectations but you also have expectations from yourself,' she explained. 'I just know that going into a final is already very, very special. There are only two teams that can make the final so if you talk about pressure, that's not really a pressure, that's very special. 'When you got to a final you really want to win it too. We're happy that we're in the final and we really want to win it and we're going to do everything to make that happen.'

Deion Sanders, medical team will hold news conference amid Colorado coach's battle with unspecified issue

Deion Sanders' health has been a closely followed topic this offseason. Last month, reports surfaced that the Pro Football Hall of Famer was sidelined with an unspecified illness. As Sanders continues to prepare for his third season as the Colorado football head coach, he offered a positive — albeit brief — update about his health status on Friday. "Back and Feeling Great!" Sanders wrote on X. Sanders has elected to keep many details about his personal health private, but he now appears willing to change course. A press conference with Sanders and his medical team has been scheduled for Monday. Personnel from CU Anschutz and UC Health will join Sanders and are expected to "provide general and team updates," university officials said in a news release. The apparent health concerns prevented the high-profile coach from being fully involved in the football team's spring and summer workouts this offseason. The issues also forced the two-time Super Bowl winner to miss summer football camps in Colorado, USA Today reported in June. In recent years, Sanders has contended with blood clot problems and had two toes on his left foot amputated. Sanders mostly avoided addressing his health earlier this month at Big 12 Media Days. "I'm already back," the 57-year-old told ESPN July 9. "I'm here today. I'm handling my responsibilities. So, I look forward to it. I can't wait. You've got to understand, some of the young (players) I haven't even met yet. I'm so excited about that." In a social media video posted July 20, the Colorado coach told his son, Deion Sanders Jr., "You know I'm still going through something," before following up with "I ain't all the way recovered." Sanders will also face more challenges on the field once the new season kicks off. Colorado will no longer have the benefit of two-way Travis Hunter or quarterback Shedeur Sanders in 2025. Hunter was the second overall selection in April's NFL Draft, while Shedeur fell to the fifth round. Kaidon Salter transferred from Liberty to Colorado and will likely handle the Buffaloes' starting quarterback duties in 2025. Colorado opens the regular season in Boulder against Georgia Tech Aug. 29.
