'Jamie Lee Curtis is having the time of her life and it's a blast to watch,' Davis wrote. 'It's silly and sometimes confusing but hilarious throughout, even touching at times. Anthony Anderson Tells 17-Year-Old Lindsay Lohan That ‘Men Like Them Young' in Resurfaced Interview; Actor Now Says It Was ‘Clearly Intended as Comedy'

Anthony Anderson has responded to social media backlash over a resurfaced interview he did with Lindsay Lohan in 2003 that many viewers have found deeply uncomfortable. The viral clip is from when Anderson guest hosted 'The Sharon Osbourne Show' nearly 22 years ago. He was 33 years old at the time and Lohan was 17. Anderson was talking to Lohan about how she recently moved in with fellow Disney star and friend Raven-Symoné. 'Both of you are beautiful women. Both of you are young and have your individual styles,' Anderson tells Lohan before asking: 'What gentlemen will be at the new pad with you and Raven-Symoné?' I don't have a boyfriend,' Lohan replies, prompting Anderson to explain to the audience: 'She's single, but looking!' Lohan clarifies, 'I'm illegal for people that are old,' and Anderson says, 'Some men like them young. We ain't gonna mention no names, but I'm one of them.' At a different point in the interview, Anderson throws to commercial break by touting Lohan's movie 'Freaky Friday' and says, 'Right now, we're about to get our freak on.' He moves closer towards Lohan and puts his arms around her while she covers her mouth with her hand. 'This interview was clearly intended as comedy,' a spokesperson told Entertainment Weekly on behalf of Anderson. 'He regrets if the humor was in poor taste and maintains the utmost respect for Lindsay. Any implication to the contrary is both inaccurate and potentially defamatory.' Variety has reached out to Anderson's representatives for additional comment. The interview is possibly resurfacing now that Lohan has embarked on her press tour for the long-awaited 'Freaky Friday' sequel, 'Freakier Friday,' which is opening in theaters Aug. 8 from Disney. Lohan is reprising her role in the film opposite original co-star Jamie Lee Curtis. Lindsay Lohan Says She Was Pigeonholed to Play Certain Types of Roles But Plans to ‘Break That Cycle': ‘I Have To Fight For Stuff Like That'

Lindsay Lohan is sharing her frustrations about how growing up in the public eye pigeonholed her from playing more sophisticated roles. 'Yeah, I do [think I was pigeonholed],' she said in an interview with The Times U.K.. 'I was so thrilled to work on 'A Prairie Home Companion' and yet even today I have to fight for stuff that is like that, which is frustrating. Because, well, you know me as this — but you also know I can do that. So let me! Give me the chance. I have to break that cycle and open doors to something else, leaving people no choice. And in due time, if Martin Scorsese reaches out, I'm not going to say no.' She became a household name after appearing in several 2000s films, including 'Mean Girls,' 'Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen' and 'Herbie: Fully Loaded.' As she climbed the Hollywood ranks, the movie star took a brief career hiatus during the 2000s. Lohan explained why she decided to step outside of the spotlight. 'I wanted to take a minute,' Lohan said. 'I was losing that feeling of excitement about doing a film, and I wanted to live my own life for a bit, figure out how to have a more private life, a real life. I wanted to wait to get that itch again.' Lohan has since returned to the big screen and will star opposite Jamie Lee Curtis in the upcoming film, 'Freakier Friday.' A follow-up to the duo's 2003 comedy, 'Freaky Friday,' the new story features a 'multigenerational twist' that features Anna (Lohan) as a mom. The movie will be released in theaters on Aug. 8. Looking ahead, Lohan said she wants to be a part of a wider range of projects. 'I miss films that are stories, like 'All About Eve' or 'Breakfast at Tiffany's,'' she said. 'There are not many major movies I want to go and see that are like that — there's a gap and I'm craving to do work like that.' The actress is set to star in the new Hulu thriller, 'Count My Lies,' which she also executive produces. Based on the novel of the same name, the series is about a conniving nanny who uncovers the secrets of a family she works with. The production marks Lohan's first starring role in a TV series.
