Rizzle Kicks fans go wild as Jordan introduces special guest to Glastonbury set

Rizzle Kicks opened The Other Stage at Glastonbury 2019 with a huge, hit-filled set - and frontman Jordan Stephens' mum made a surprise appearance
A surprise guest stole the show at Rizzle Kicks' performance on The Other Stage. As the musicians took to the stage at Glastonbury fans went wild as Jordan Stephens made a special announcement.
He introduced his mum mid-way through the set and she made a memorable appearance on stage. She donned a green wig during their hit 'Mama Do the Hump', prompting Stephens to exclaim, "Give it up for my mum!" The ecstatic crowd went wild with cheers.

Even the renowned DJ Fatboy Slim, who joined the duo on stage, couldn't match the enthusiasm sparked by Stephens' mum. Despite the chaos, with thousands of fans packed in and jostling to get closer to the stage, the set list was full to bursting.

Among those played were fan favourites like 'Lost Generation', 'When I Was a Youngster', along with some of their latest tracks.
In a tongue-in-cheek moment, Stephens stood on a podium labelled "LOSER" during the song 'When I was a Youngster'. However, judging by the crowd's adoration, Rizzle Kicks are definitely winners in their eyes, reports Somerset Live.
Elsewhere on Friday, L ewis Capaldi made a surprise comeback. The Scottish singer returned to the stage after a two-year hiatus.
Earlier today, Lewis released a new song called Survive. Alongside his announcement post, Lewis shared a video and captioned it: "It's been a while."
The new song is full of emotion with lyrics including "I swear to God I'll survive" and "I'm going to get up and live until the day that I die," his first new release since stepping out of the spotlight because of his mental health.

Lewis has been open about his mental health and hypochondria in recent years. .In 2022, he said: "If I'm having a panic attack there's nobody else that can help me out of it except my mum, for sure.
"My mum has had to sleep in my bed as recently as a month ago because of how bad my anxiety got at one point. But I think that was alcohol related to be honest, I had been on a bit of a bender."
He went on: "It never really reached a tipping point until after getting famous, I never had a panic attack until after I was famous, or after I was a musician or after I got to a height.
"The hypochondria - I guess looking back, I was such an anxious kid, but now because I understand it a lot more with therapy and I speak about it a lot more with people and try to learn more about it, I look back at it and think the behaviour was a result of anxiety."

Lewis Capaldi reveals an A-list singer ghosted him after 'super' night out

Lewis Capaldi may be a celebrity, but even he has been ghosted… by another celeb! (Picture: Matt Baron/Shutterstock) Lewis Capaldi may be one of the biggest names in pop right now, but he's still susceptible to ghosting like the rest of us. The Someone You Loved hitmaker recently returned to the music scene after an extended break to focus on his mental health. Lewis came back with a bang, performing to thousands upon thousands of adoring fans at this year's Glastonbury Festival, having just dropped his latest single, Survive, in which he bravely sings about his struggles. And while he's back on the press circuit, ahead of kicking off his UK tour next month, Lewis has been lifting the lid on some of his showbiz friendships. Alas, when it comes to US megastar Justin Bieber, after an epic night out together, Lewis was met with radio silence. Speaking to Chris Stark for Capital Breakfast, the 28-year-old revealed he and Justin, 31, exchanged numbers at a star-studded bash, but he did not hear from the Baby singer again. The singer confessed that he was ignored by pop star Justin Bieber after a night out (Picture: Capital Breakfast) Lewis sent the Biebs a text, hoping to strike up a friendship (Picture: Capital Breakfast) 'It was amazing,' Lewis said of the event. 'There was famous people, Charli XCX was there, Justin Bieber was there. 'Justin Bieber comes over and said, 'Hey, man, what's going on?' And I said, 'You don't remember my name?' And he said, 'Of course I do, you're Lewis Capaldi'.' 'Me and Bieber had this super night together, like really lovely evening together,' Lewis continued. 'We didn't spend the night together, but we hung out and I'm like, 'me and the Biebs are gonna be best pals, this is huge.' 'And he's like, 'Man, make sure I get your number tomorrow.' And I was like, 'Me and the Biebs, this is huge!'' Unfortunately, Lewis didn't quite get the lovey-dovey response he was hoping for after sending a message of adoration to JB. 'If you're out there, Bieber, wherever you are, text me back, please' (Picture: Matt Baron/Shutterstock) Justin aired him! (Picture: Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic) 'I text him maybe the most sucking-up-his-a**e text. I said, 'Just wanted to jump on, bro, last night was so special, great guy, so nice to hang out with you, such a dude.' 'He likes it and doesn't reply. So if you're out there, Bieber, wherever you are, text me back, please. Bieber aired me.' Lewis's recent comeback has been received extremely warmly by his fans, who sobbed as he, too, broke down on the Worthy Farm stage in 2023, unable to finish his set due to a Tourette's flare-up. At the time, he was still navigating living with the condition, apologising to the audience as they sang the lyrics for him. Ahead of his return this summer, the award-winning star was heavily rumoured to be the surprise performer, as cryptic signs promoting his new music appeared in various locations. But that doesn't mean Lewis wasn't nervous, as he recently confessed to 'convulsing' backstage at another secret gig before heading out for his first performance in two years. Lewis recently returned to music after a two-year break (Picture:) He was greeted by thousands of screaming fans as he played a surprise Glastonbury set (Picture: EPA) 'A few weeks prior to that show, we were playing in Chicago, and I had a very similar episode—probably even worse,' he told This Past Weekend with Theo Von. 'I couldn't come back and finish a song. I was backstage, convulsing and having this crazy panic attack. Way worse than what happened at Glastonbury (in 2023).' Fortunately, Lewis was able to power through his nerves and anxiety, which he has spoken openly about, to make it to Glasto, having admitted his breakdown in 2023 was probably 'the best thing that's ever happened' to him, as it meant he then had time to 'go and get help and fix [himself] for the next two years'. During his time out of the spotlight, Lewis has been going to therapy to learn how to manage his Tourette's, with which he was diagnosed in September 2022. He's also overhauled his physical health, having drastically reduced his alcohol intake and switched from antidepressants to antipsychotic medication, which he believes has made a difference. 'It's changed my life,' he said of his new meds. 'My anxiety levels are so low these days. I don't feel the stress.' After being forced to release more tickets due to astonishingly high demand, Lewis wrote on Instagram: 'honestly didn't expect this at all… genuinely had no idea what to expect after taking a break for so long so be seeing this tour sell out faster than any tour i've ever played is the most incredible surreal feeling ❤️ thank you to every single one of you who got a ticket and i'm very sorry to any of you who wanted to come and missed out this time.' He added: 'there won't be any other shows for now, want to make sure I don't push myself too far too soon. means more than ya know how many of you were waiting to get tickets this morning x' Got a story? Lewis Capaldi reveals Glasgow moment 'he knew he was famous'

Lewis made the admission while appearing on the Heart Scotland breakfast show, hosted by Des Clarke, Adele and Grado, on Friday morning, August 15. Grado probed Lewis on the moment he made the big time, and was given a hilarious answer by the singer. Adele queried: "A staff one?" Before Lewis told the rest of the funny tale: "A staff one! "Sorry, yes. But I was on a pub crawl with my pals in Glasgow, and I was bursting. "And I ran into Sainsbury's, and I was like, 'I'm really sorry is there any chance I can use your bathroom?' "And they were like, 'are you Lewis Capaldi?' and I go, 'if you want me to be yeah.' "And he's like 'yeah, sure get in here!" Grado asks Des if he thought the pair would get the same treatment, and he declares, "No chance!" However, I don't know if I should bring this up." "Because this has got to me for years and years and years. But months later I checked on Twitter." Lewis finishes the sentence for him, asking: "Unfollowed?" Grado responds glumly: "Aye." Lewis apologised: "Sorry, I don't know what's happened." Grado pleaded with Lewis for an answer for the snub: "Was it a mistake? Was it something that I tweeted?" Before Lewis jokingly revealed the reason while laughing: "I found out you were a Rangers fan." The whole room bursts into laughter at the usual cheeky remark from the global superstar. Lewis tries to make amends by saying he'll follow Grado back, but before the offer is accepted Adele drops the Two Doors Down star in it. Adele said: "No, Grado unfollowed you Lewis!" Grado admits he was annoyed at the time, he said: "Oh, I spat out the dummy big time I was like 'he better not make it now.' "He then went on to become the biggest, most-streamed artist of all time, so look where that got me!"
