Ryan Reynolds' rumoured 'X-Force' film to feature Wolverine, Cable and Storm in ensemble cast
Ryan Reynolds is reportedly developing an X-Force-inspired project following the release of Deadpool & Wolverine. Sources suggest the film, which has not yet been officially greenlit by Marvel Studios, will be separate from the X-Men reboot currently being written by Michael Lesslie.
Reynolds is said to be working independently on the script, positioning Wade Wilson as part of a new team rather than leading another solo film. The project will reportedly include 'three or four' X-Men characters. Notably, Josh Brolin's Cable and Hugh Jackman's Wolverine are rumoured to return, alongside the unexpected inclusion of the MCU's Storm.
The actor's past statements reinforce his desire to move Deadpool into more ensemble-driven stories. 'I have some pitches and ideas, but none of them centre on Deadpool,' he said. 'He is a great supporting or ensemble player. And I would always want Deadpool and Wolverine to be paired in some way.'
Reynolds previously campaigned for an X-Force film during the 20th Century Fox era, which was shelved following the Disney acquisition.
The original comic book X-Force team featured Deadpool, Wolverine, Archangel, Psylocke, and Fantomex under Rick Remender's run.
Reynolds has dismissed further solo ventures, reaffirming that Deadpool should remain 'an outsider' to groups like the Avengers or X-Men.

WATCH: Dan Reynolds waves Palestinian flag at Milan concert during Imagine Dragons tour
Dan Reynolds, lead singer of Imagine Dragons, drew widespread attention during the band's recent concert in Milan by draping a Palestinian flag over his shoulders onstage—a gesture that prompted cheers from the audience but has since sparked mixed reactions online. The flag was reportedly thrown onto the stage during the May 27 performance. Reynolds picked it up, held it aloft to loud applause, and then placed it around his shoulders as the band continued playing. Videos of the moment quickly went viral on platforms like TikTok, X, and Instagram, shared widely by pro-Palestinian accounts such as @humantiproject and photojournalist Motaz Azaiza. The move marks a notable shift for the band, which faced criticism in 2023 for performing in Israel and Azerbaijan despite public calls for boycotts. At the time, many fans and human rights advocates urged the group to cancel those shows. Reynolds defended their decision in a 2024 interview with Rolling Stone, stating, 'I don't believe in depriving our fans… because of the acts of their leaders and their governments,' calling such choices a 'slippery slope.' Now, the Milan concert gesture is being interpreted by some as a possible reconsideration of that stance, while others view it as symbolic but lacking follow-through. You know it's moments like these where I genuinely don't know what to do with myself anymore... I actually really liked Imagine Dragons, But now it seems they genuinely hate my people. It's disgusting how people still view Palestine as a moral virtue when it's all a myth. — Thunder Kid🎗️ (@ThunderKidOG) May 29, 2025 The incident comes amid rising global scrutiny of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. As public awareness grows, artists are increasingly expected to take a stand on political and humanitarian issues. Imagine Dragons now joins a growing list of musicians—such as Green Day, who recently expressed solidarity during their Coachella set—who are visibly engaging with the issue of Palestine amid ongoing conflict and calls for international attention.

Restaurant review: Da Noi knows how to marry flavours
In a city teeming with flashy new openings and formulaic café menus, Da Noi brings something far rarer to the table: restraint. Located in Karachi's ever-expanding upscale dining circuit, Da Noi feels like a restaurant with nothing to prove and everything to offer. From its minimal Bauhaus-inspired interiors to a menu rooted in refined simplicity, this is certainly not your run-of-the-mill eatery. We started with the roasted bell pepper soup, a velvety, indulgent opening note. While the pepper's smoky essence played a more supporting role to the soup's buttery base, the overall effect was comforting — exactly the kind of richness Karachi's cool evenings call for. The garlic bread alongside was excellent: crisp, fragrant, and generously portioned. The citrus quinoa medley arrived next, looking like a summer garden in a bowl. Bursts of watermelon, the crunch of candied walnuts, hints of maple, and the slight bitterness of rocket all played their parts. The quinoa could've used more spotlight, and the 'citrus' barely made itself known; the salad, on the whole, was a well-balanced starter and marked a welcome departure from the overdressed greens seen elsewhere. From the appetisers, the seared beef with spicy soy glaze stood out. Served medium, the meat was tender, with a delicate char that gave it an earthy edge. The soy glaze was amazingly just as fiery as the name might suggest, the umami competing with the spice, which worked well in its favour. Even for diners not typically drawn to red meat, this dish makes a strong case. The sundried tomato grilled chicken was another crowd-pleaser. Juicy, flavourful, and plated over a generous bed of fresh rocket and feta, the dish offered depth and texture. The baked potato on the side — crispy-edged and fluffy inside — was an especially welcome touch. This is the kind of plate that satisfies with its generous portion, but never feels overwhelming. If the meal had a weaker link, it was the pesto prawn linguine. While the prawns were cooked just right and the serving large enough to rival most mains in the city, the pesto lacked brightness. A squeeze of lemon or a little more seasoning might have added dimension, but it's a small complaint in an otherwise well-thought-out spread. Dessert came in the form of a cheesecake with fruit compote, or rather, fruit scattered neatly over the top. While purists might expect a true compote, the cheesecake itself was rich and decadent, with a biscuity base that delivered exactly the crunch you want at the end of a meal. Verdict: While the spice doesn't always deliver the bold heat it promises, Da Noi's strength lies in its sophisticated, velvety layering of flavours. This is a restaurant that trusts its ingredients and pairs thoughtful cooking with attentive service and an ambient dining experience truly considerate of its guests.
