McDonald's UK bringing back popular burger in menu shake-up

Daily Mail25-04-2025

McDonald's has announced a new summer menu with 12 tasty new additions including a fan favourite previously dubbed the 'best burger ever '. Launching in McDonald's restaurants across the UK on Wednesday, May 7, the new menu is set to feature the Biscoff McFlurry and Frappe, a spicy burger as well as a Pokemon Happy Meals for the kids. The ultra-popular Steakhouse Stack burger will make its much-anticipated return but it will set you back a little more than before.
It features two juicy 100 per cent British and Irish beef patties, with cheddar cheese, crispy onions, red onion, lettuce, and a savoury black peppercorn sauce served in a toasted sesame bun and will only be available for a limited time. Originally launched in March 2023, it's been in and out of restaurants and instantly proved a huge hit with fast food fans . The fast food giant last relaunched the much-loved Steakhouse Stack in January 2024 for £5.39, however, now fans will have to fork out £5.99 for the burger alone.
After the beloved burger was added to McDonald's menu last year, it created a buzz among customers. One user took to X, formerly known as Twitter: 'Whoever Ronald McDonald employed to invent the steakhouse stack deserves the world'. Another keen foodie said: 'The steakhouse stack was the best burger they've done in a long time'. A different user went as far as claiming: 'The steakhouse stack is the best burger on the McDonald's menu and nothing will convince me otherwise '.
Another unlikely McDonald's fan agreed: 'The Steakhouse Stack from Maccies may just be the best burger I've ever consumed from that cesspit of a place wow'. More took to the social media platform to express their love for the burger: 'McDonald's steakhouse stack...Jesus that's the best burger they've ever produced'. 'Steakhouse stack did not disappoint though' and 'Ngl the McDonald's Steakhouse Stack is very good'.
One even expressed: 'Petition to keep the Steakhouse Stack for good', about the limited-edition item. But the Steakhouse Stack isn't the only exciting addition coming to McDonald's menus this summer . As the weather warms up the refreshing Frozen Cherry Lemonade is sure to be a hit. For £2.99 the icy beverage is a tangy frozen lemonade with a deliciously sweet cherry-flavoured swirl.
Sweet-toothed diners will be delighted by the return of the Lotus Biscoff McFlurry and Frappe. The McFlurry, available in regular and mini sizes has crunchy Biscoff biscuit crumbs swirled into the soft serve. The Frappe has a vanilla flavour base, blended with ice and Biscoff biscuit crumb which is then topped with caramel-flavoured cream and a Biscoff crumb dusting. Customers who can handle the heat will want to try the McSpicy X Frank's RedHot burger with chicken breast in a hot and crispy coating, lettuce, cheese, jalapeños, slivered onions, and Frank's RedHot® Mayo all in a toasted sesame seed bun.
For those who only want a taste of spice, the Frank's RedHot Mayo is perfect to dip a chip in and will be available separately exclusively in UK McDonald's locations. A new limited-edition Happy Meal will soon feature one of eight Dragon-Type Pokémon toys or one of two Little People Big Dreams books, 'I Can Make Amazing Music' or 'I Can Be a Wonderful Artist'. The special Happy Meal toys will be available from May 7 until June 17 so you better be quick.
The limited-time Katsu Chicken One wrap with crispy or grilled chicken, coated in flavourful katsu sauce, onions, cucumber, and lettuce in a toasted tortilla is staying on the menu - and diners can get it for only £1.99 on Wednesdays. Also remaining available to order are the Cheesy Garlic Bread Dippers that come in a four-piece or Sharebox.

The pair were originally coupled up on premiere night, but when American bombshell Toni arrived, she stole Ben for herself, leaving Shakira single and vulnerable to being dumped from the island. In a chat with Toni, Ben said he was glad the Vegas pool party waitress picked him, adding: "Shakira needed to be humbled." ‌ ‌ The remark left viewers stunned, and many are questioning what went down between the pair behind the scenes. One person posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, asking: "Sorry did he say Shakira needed to be humbled??? What is his problem???" Another questioned: "Did I miss something yesterday? Ben seems to have quite a problem with Shakira?" A third added: "What did Ben mean by Shakira needed humbled? It's not even been 24 hours… get this p**ck out." Kanye West has 'very different name now' after rebranding himself

Kanye West, also known as Ye, is said to have changed his name for the second time in recent years, with the rapper's latest name reportedly disclosed on business documents Kanye West, also known as Ye, has quietly changed his name for the second time in recent years. The rapper's latest name is said to have been used on legal documents related to businesses associated with him. The musician, 48, is reportedly referred to as Ye Ye on documents filed with the State of California by his chief financial officer, Hussain Lalani. It comes after he had previously become known as Ye, with it announced that he had legally changed his name to that in 2021. His apparent latest name hasn't been publicly announced by him, though. It's said to have emerged when his businesses filed a Statement of Information, which provides up-to-date information for an entity, such as addresses and directors. The US Sun, which has reportedly seen the documents in question, states that Ox Paha Inc now calls him 'Ye Ye' on them. It further claims that his clothing brand Yeezy Apparel, as well as his music businesses Yeezy Record Label LLC and Getting Out Our Dreams Inc, are also referring to him by that name. It adds that the business headquarters of Ox Paha Inc., Yeezy Record Label LLC and Getting Out Our Dreams Inc. has changed. It was said to have been a church in Northridge, Los Angeles, that burnt down after being left vacant by him, but is now reportedly listed as the office building in the city of Los Angeles that he bought in 2023, reports the Mirror US. The news comes after he announced earlier this month that he would be making a new account on X to reflect his name Ye. He shared his plans in a post on June 1. He wrote in a message to his followers on the platform: "Ima finally stop using the @kanyewest Twitter cause my name is Ye. Gonna start a Ye account and it is what it is." It came after Piers Morgan mentioned his handle on the platform du r ing an interview last month. The rapper had walked out of an interview on Uncensored. He left after Piers said that he had 32 million, rather than 33 million, followers on X. The host later issued a correction, but within minutes of the interview starting, he had left. Piers later suggested that it happened before he could ask about antisemitism and other topics. Ye - who in tweets weeks later said he was "done with antisemitism" and that he loves "all people," as well posting "God forgive me for the pain I've caused" - having been criticised for comments and other actions in recent years. Just last month, it was reported that he had released a song titled Heil Hitler (Hooligan Version). Host Piers told fellow guest Sneako after Ye left: "Tell him from me he's a snivelling, little coward, and he's an anti-semite and a Hitler worshipper. That's what I would have asked him if he'd had the b***s to sit there and take the questions." One fan later wrote on X: " Piers Morgan calling him ' Kanye West ' is exactly why Ye left the interview." Piers reacted to the suggestion by saying: "His X account name is @kanyewest …" The rapper has since shared plans to stop using the @kanyewest on the platform.

Beyoncé giving away free concert tickets to London shows after 'poor sales'

Beyoncé fans might be flocking to watch her perform in London this week, however free tickets are now being 'given away' to fill seats. Last week the US superstar, 43, kicked off the UK leg of her Cowboy Cartertour at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 5, the first of six shows she's playing in the capital. The concerts are her first in the UK since her Renaissance World Tour in 2023, however she's failed to sell out any of them this time around. But two shows in, it's now been reported that organisers are so desperate to fill empty seats, tickets are being handed out. Tickets for her shows began at around £100, with some VIP tickets being sold for as much as £950. Although thousands of fans did snap them up, with the stadium having a capacity of 60,000, there are still hundreds of tickets in 75 sections left for her remaining four shows. The Sun has now reported unsold tickets have been distributed to charities, to also avoid the stadium looking empty. 'Several low-income families in the capital have been offered tickets by food banks, which help feed the needy,' it reported. It comes after some fans were left furious at the amounts they paid for tickets, only for prices to later be slashed. During the presale, some had been priced at £620, but were then made available for £141.60. A Ticketmaster spokesperson told The Sun: 'Since tickets typically go on sale at least three to six months before the event, organisers may review prices at key points leading up to the show.' Just a few days before the tour began, ticketholders were also left 'annoyed' at a last-minute change of plan. Posting on X, one fan shared a notification they got from the Ticketmaster just four days before the first Cowboy Carter concert in California, informing them their seat had changed. 'Due to changes in stage production, your original seats for the Cowboy Carter tour will now have an obstructed view. 'The event organised has accommodated you with new seats in a comparable location on the floor. 'Your new tickets are in your Ticketmaster account now; your original tickets are no longer valid for entry.' In 2018 tickets for Beyoncé's joint tour with her husband Jay-Z were given away in a car park outside Hampden Park in Glasgow after they also struggled to sell out. Revealing the giveaway on Twitter, one fan told others to rush down to the venue you get a ticket: 'If you are near Hampden Park go to the main parking lot they are giving out free tickets for the Beyoncé & Jay Z concert because of empty seats.' Other fans also claimed they were being given free upgrades to VIP. Despite Cowboy Carter not selling out in London, Beyoncé's 40-song set has been praised by fans. More Trending In Metro's review, the singer was praised for a 'presenting a version of the American South not as it is, but as it could be: inclusive, textured, full of contradiction and pride, defiant of unjust power structures, and rooted in the stories of people who refused to disappear – no matter how hard the world tried to erase them.' 'It was a goose-bump-inducing pleasure to watch the icon strut the length of the stage and flip her hair, so when she joined in the choreography, it felt like staggering generosity from a star with nothing left to prove,' it also read. After starting in Inglewood, California, in April, the Cowboy Carter tour is scheduled to end on July 26, in Paradise, Nevada. Metro has contacted Ticketmaster and representatives for Beyoncé for comment. Got a story?
