Beyond The Gates Recap: Sharon Has Anita Shaking in Her Boots
On today's Beyond The Gates recap:
Anita and Vernon's Mansion: Sharon arrives and immediately lets Anita know she's not there for small talk. Vernon walks up and Sharon greets him with a warm hug. Anita wonders where Tracy is but Sharon thinks they should chat one on one. With that, Vernon makes his exit.
Anita and Sharon get right into it. She knows she had to disassociate from her feelings in order to get where she needed to go. Anita hopes she and Sharon can put everything out on the table. Sharon can't with Anita still trying to be the one in charge when that is what ruined them. Anita says she wants to take anything Sharon is ready to throw her way. Sharon suspects it's easy to feel the heat when Anita has so much money supporting her. Anita admits to making a ton of terrible mistakes but says she has worked hard for everything she has. Sharon notes they were all talented and says she had offers to go solo but chose to stick with the group. Once Anita left, those offers dried up.
Sharon notes how rumors spread she had a drug and alcohol problem and knows Anita and Dante were responsible for spreading them. Anita claims to have no knowledge of how those rumors spread. Sharon says it doesn't change the fact that Dante did what he needed to do to elevate Anita's career. Anita wants to do the concert with the two of them to make amends. Sharon says it is too late for her to make amends or have peace of any kind.
Anita walks in with tangerines and cheese as she remembers they were Sharon's favorites. Sharon remembers they were so poor and these were the only things they could afford. They chit chat a bit about the good old days when Sharon stops her. She says she's not there to reminisce and asks how much Vernon knows about what actually happened to split up the Articulettes. Anita says he knows she and Tracy were angry about her siding with Dante but told him the rest was complicated. Sharon is not surprised to learn Anita let Vernon think everything Dante spread in the press was accurate. Further, they were never able to defend themselves because he made them sign NDAs simply to receive their final payment. Anita says she never knew, and Sharon gets it as she wouldn't return their calls.
Anita admits the pain she caused but says Sharon cannot blame her for the decisions they made together. Sharon loses her s*** and says Anita was the one who decided to break ranks. She was the one who was going to follow her dreams no matter the consequences for the rest of them. Sharon is clearly talking about two different topics when she says Anita told them they could go along with her plan or not. Anita says they did and Sharon confirms – but may God forgive them (I'll admit to being a touch confused).
Sharon wants to leave but Anita says they need to get everything out. She doesn't want to be the only one to wonder how much responsibility the bear, individually or together, for what happened (WHAT HAPPENED?!?!). Sharon is having NONE of Anita. She thinks maybe it's time everyone learns the truth about Anita, including Vernon (that look of panic on Anita's face!).
Police Station: Detective Walker arrives to speak with Jacob to help with Laura's case. He is an expert in video analysis and Jacob asks the different ways they could make a match.
Fairmont Country Club: Chelsea runs into Martin and says she they want Samantha to be the teen face of their purse line. It will allow her to be in the game without going full force. Chelsea wants to join him for lunch but Martin says he's meeting up with his dad. They move along to discuss Hayley's pregnancy. Chelsea thinks the entire situation is cringe worthy.
Martin takes a seat and the waiter (who is also following folks around) pours his coffee. He quickly makes his exit when Ted arrives. Martin says he's been thinking about how they keep secrets. He loves his father and doesn't like how he treated his mother but thinks he deserves more compassion and understanding. Martin asks how things are going with his mother. Ted thinks they've made progress but it's not enough. He now thinks Leslie is far more dangerous than anyone ever knew.
The waiter watches from a distance as Martin and Ted continue their conversation. Ted fills Martin in on his worries about Leslie having run Laura off the road and how Eva is in danger. He would love to talk to Nicole about this situation and Martin mentions possibly collaborating with Bill to get her gone, once again.
Police Station: Kat and Leslie arrive to speak with Jacob. Kat presents him with the leather jacket and the receipts, but Leslie is there purely out of curiosity. Kat begins the presentation of the leather jacket. Jacob says it could have been touched and/or worn by anyone. She moves forward with a tag from the thrift shop, a ticket for a motorcycle without a license plate, and a coffee shop receipt. Kat notes the coffee shop receipt is for a 'Cherry C' which is very similar to 'Sherry C' which is the name Leslie used when she pretended to need Nicole's psychiatric assistance. Jacob asks if Leslie has anything to say for herself. She says she does and asks how she can file for a restraining order against Kat.
Leslie is completely over Nancy Drew and her investigation. She says the 'evidence' Kat is presenting could have originated anywhere and has nothing to do with her. Leslie says the harassment has to stop and is serious about the restraining order. Kat calls her an 'arrogant bitch' before Jacob tells her to slow her roll. Leslie says she is up with no more bullying. Before she exits, she leans into Kat and says, 'That's Miss Bitch, bitch.'
Kat is over the top telling Jacob how they have all the evidence they need to put Leslie away. During her explanation, Kat says she tried on the jacket which sets Jacob off as she could just as easily be arrested for Laura's 'accident.' He notes hers are likely the only prints on the jacket and the receipts.
Orphey Gene's: Chelsea sees her grandfather working on his computer and he says he's working on a commencement address. Chelsea says he has always been good at giving young people advice. Vernon inquires and Chelsea tells him about issues with her latest relationship. Vernon is so sorry and knows rejection is just the worst. Chelsea thinks she dodged a bullet and notes the issues her mother is having with her father. Vernon understands what's happened recently but says there are a whole lot of solid examples of love all around her.
Eva's Hotel Room: Eva thinks back to stealing things from her mama's house when Ted arrives. He says he's been trying to reach out to her to discuss Leslie's accusations which is why she has been ghosting. Ted gets it saying he never believed she was the one to run Eva off the road. He says he believed her before she had an alibi. He simply believes in her. Eva defends her mother saying she was probably just trying to get under Kat's skin. Ted counters saying Eva needs to protect herself from her mother. He thinks Eva is afraid of her mother. Eva wondered if her mother could have forced Laura off the road or caused the cardiac arrest but chooses to believe her. Ted gets it but says she can come to her if she ever wants to break free from her mother. Eva tells him to be careful as her mama has a tendency to confuse what she wants with reality. They agree to watch out for each other.
Nicole and Ted's Place: (Y'all when I tell you I HOWLED when the camera first focused on that Febreze bottle!) Nicole sprays her house down with Febreze as Martin arrives to see how she is doing. He tells her about his meeting with his father and Nicole says she also spent the morning learning more about Leslie's more dangerous qualities. Martin says Ted misses her but says he would never pressure her in any way. That being said, he can't believe she has gone radio silent. Nicole says giving in would be a relief but wouldn't be real.
Previous Beyond The Gates Recap:
Endings
Anita hopes Sharon will consider her offer about the concert. Sharon thinks the concert is simply a gesture, after which she will cast them aside as she did before (Sharon ain't wrong. The plan was to possibly relaunch her solo career…). Anita says it's not what she wants. Sharon says she knows Anita even better than Vernon and will never trust her again. With that, she makes her exit leaving Anita in tears.
Vernon returns to find a despondent Anita on the sofa. He inquires and Anita indicates she couldn't convince Sharon to forgive her as she never forgave herself.
Kat arrives home and tells Martin and Nicole about her less than successful trip to the police station. She says how Jacob was less than thrilled with many of her investigative techniques. Martin sides with Jacob and Nicole tells her kids to chill out. She says they need to accept that Leslie will probably get away with everything she's done.
Detective Walker returns and tells Jacob his suspect is right at 5'7' and thinks he knows the manufacturer of the helmet and boots. Jacob asks about the leather jacket and the detective says the one in his possession (how would he know because Kat had yet to turn it in) was a match for the one in the video.
Leslie shows up at Eva's hotel room asks her what she did with her helmet and gloves. Eva gets all kinds of smug and says they are currently hidden in a much better place than her apartment. Eva says she's protecting herself as what her mama says isn't always what she does. She tells Leslie she now needs to make sure to stay on her good side.

Beyond The Gates Recap: Naomi Implodes Martin and Smitty's Family
Beyond The Gates Recap: Naomi Implodes Martin and Smitty's Family originally appeared on Daytime Confidential. On today's Beyond The Gates recap: Uptown: Kat arrives in a stunning red dress to meet up with Tomas for salsa dancing lessons. He says the instructor is supposed to be the best. Santi arrives ready to teach them the ropes (Kat already has more chemistry with Santi than Tomas). Kat and Tomas begin the most awkward dance in the history of the planet. Santi stops the music and asks where the passion and the fire is. He begins the music again but they simply can't get in sync. Tomas tells her to trust his lead but she says it doesn't make sense. Santi takes Tomas' place and says to let him show her what it's like when a real man leads (Oooooh!). Tomas cuts in and they get quite a bit better in terms of their rhythm, which thrills Santi. Afterwards, Tomas tells Kat information about his childhood in Puerto Rico which brings them even closer. They begin to dance again without music and then kiss. Later, they decide to head home for a shower and some alone time. Orphey Gene's: Naomi can't believe Samantha and Tyrell are June's children. She thinks they have to run it by Smitty and Martin first since it was a closed adoption. Naomi knows this news could destroy their family. Smitty and Martin's Place: Game night continues with Martin and Tyrell winning. The kids ask to play on and this time with charades. Smitty shuts it down saying it's time to do chores. Samantha and Tyrell head out to the kitchen to give their parents a chance to talk. Smitty says he knows exactly what Martin is doing and needs to stop. Martin gets a call from Naomi who says she needs to see them ASAP. Naomi and Jacob arrive and she says they found Tyrell and Samantha's biological mother. Martin doesn't understand why Naomi was looking for this person but she says June found her. Martin still doesn't understand as they spent all kinds of cast for a closed adoption so no family member would come knocking. He asks about her story and Naomi reminds him about the homeless woman she asked him to help and says that's her. Smitty says he was doing an assignment on the foster care system when he met Samantha and Tyrell. He knew their mother's addiction had taken away their entire life. They only had each other. Smitty says he was looking for a story and found the missing pieces to their family (and rubs Martin's leg in the process). Naomi asks if Martin and Smitty would ever consider letting June meet the kids. Smitty immediately says no because they don't know her. Martin steps in and says their family is very fragile but isn't opposed to the idea. Smitty concurs and says they will think on it. Naomi apologizes to Martin but he thanks her for providing the information. With that, they exit. Just then, Samantha and Tyrell enter and clearly know their biological mother was located. Smitty says they are all blindsided by this information. Tyrell wants to have nothing to do with the mother who abandoned them. Martin jumps in and says they are allowed to make their own decisions. Smitty says whatever they decide, they will support them and are still their parents. Tyrell asks if he and Samantha can talk alone and Smitty and Martin give them the room. Fairmont Country Club: Chelsea is taking selfies when Madison arrives on the scene. They agree they don't want to drift apart and will work on fixing what ails their relationship. Chelsea goes through the newest launch and Madison is thrilled it's a hospital bag designed just for her. Just then, Allison arrives. Chelsea wonders how she got past the gate and Allison says Diego got her a guest pass. Chelsea grabs her phone to get her pass revoked. Allison stops her saying she has an opportunity for an advertising deal. Chelsea isn't interested and tells her to get gone (Oh Lord, Chelsea is gonna end up in a bird cage). Madison heads off to take a work call. Allison can't understand how Chelsea can be so cruel when Craig is treating her the same. Chelsea tells her to go to therapy and get out but thinks Allison actually wants attention rather than advise. Just then, Chelsea gets a call from Kat and tells Allison to be gone afterwards. She was thinking about having Tomas over and wanted to know if she was going to be home. Kat tells her a bit about the salsa lesson and thinks maybe they were both trying too hard before. With that, they hang up. Chelsea apologizes to Madison for Allison hijacking their evening, when she shows up again. Allison looks at Madison and says Chelsea is a 'selfish two-faced bitch' who she should dump before she gets ditched herself. Chelsea tells her to back down before she has to get a restraining order. Allison repeats her desire to be with Chelsea and says she'll find out how much they're meant to be together all too soon (IN. A. BIRDCAGE!). Leslie's Digs: The inheritance folks want her personal information and Leslie tells them off. She is furious with Eva for making her go through the exercise. Eva goes off on her mother for giving up before the conversation even got started. Leslie says she's been around too many times to fall for somebody's con. Eva leans in and tells her mother, NO! Leslie asks what this inheritance crusade is really about. Eva says she would give her mother whatever she needed. They go back and forth about Ted and Eva goes into how much she wondered about him as a child. She now has a chance to be her father's daughter and not just his mistake. Leslie understands but Eva thinks her drama is threatening to destroy their connection. Before Leslie can go off on her daughter, her phone rings from an unknown caller. She ignores the call because she wants to know why her daughter is choosing Ted over her own mother and wonders if all this is about Nicole. Eva makes the mistake of saying she loves Nicole and feels badly about the dissolution of her family. Just then, the phone rings again. Leslie says since her daughter is so good at solving problems, she'll give these folks her number. Previous Beyond The Gates Recap: Endings Samantha thinks they deserve answers but Tyrell isn't interested in a woman who simply abandoned him (Tyrell being older makes way more sense in terms of how they are responding to their dad's separation). Tyrell can't understand how there has been years of no communication. He shows a picture of their current family and reminds her these are their people. Samantha only thinks of her mother as someone who was going through it. Tyrell counters that their mother left them. Samantha thinks they have June to thank for their lives right now and can't imagine he doesn't want to know the whole story. Chelsea apologizes for Hurricane Allison but Madison is turned on by the way her girlfriend stood up! Chelsea loves being with Madison and having something real, as Allison watches. Kat and Tomas are home and fresh from a shower. He begins to massage and kiss her and wonders where he learned his moves. They make out and the towels drop. Afterwards, Tomas, once again, thinks things were amazing whilst Kat is clearly less than engaged. He asks for round two and is surprised when she isn't down. Martin tells Smitty their kids are on the porch having a conversation. He worries their kids will forget about them if they meet their biological mother. Smitty tells him to stop saying Samantha and Tyrell are their children. Martin isn't certain their kids have the same connection with him as they do with Smitty. Just then, Samantha and Tyrell walk in and say they've agreed to met June. Keep checking back to the latest Beyond The Gates recaps! Leslie opens another letter about some sort of an inheritance but she thinks it's nothing. Eva says she's crazy to throw it away. Leslie says she's received similar letters before but thinks it's a complete con. Eva thinks it takes one to know one and they snark back and forth a bit. Eva thinks her mother should try and be self-sufficient rather than running cons. Eva thinks all she wants in life are things that satisfy her need for rage and payback. Leslie is done and headed to the liquor store. In her absence, Eva takes the inheritance letter from the trash. Leslie returns with alcohol in tow and sees Eva is gone along with the inheritance letter. Smitty and Martin's Digs: Smitty is trying to leave but Samantha has clearly hidden his phone. Just then, Martin arrives with pizza in tow. Smitty clearly has no clue what's going on and they both realize the kids set them up. Samantha halfway admits to pulling the scheme. Orphey Gene's: Regina arrives to see Naomi and Jacob. She asks how they met her sister and Jacob tells her the story and how he called Naomi to defend her for her arrest. Regina thinks June is a lost cause for abandoning her kids and can't forgive it. Naomi asks if she would want to reunite with the kids but Regina says it was a closed adoption. Before she can leave, Naomi pulls out documents about the children and the original foster care home. Jacob asks who called CPS but Regina doesn't know. She wishes her sister would have let her help before things spiraled out of control. Naomi says they have to try to find out more information, but Regina just can't deal with any further disappointments. Regina pulls out a box of June's and asks Naomi to give it to her. She pulls out a letter June wrote for her but Regina never read it all. Naomi begs her to stay and return June's things herself. With that, Naomi and Jacob head out to drag June down to the restaurant. Before they can leave, Jacob says they need to talk about his father and a possible coverup. Naomi knows and says her father retained her as counsel. Jacob is not surprised Vernon would do something to protect the family and keep them from talking. She says she hated not telling him the truth (not completely true). Naomi returns with June to find Regina still there. The sisters immediately throw words but Naomi pushes June to sit and listen. Regina gives her the box of things including the letter. June doesn't remember writing it and takes a read. She freaks out a bit when she realizes the kids from the photo are actually hers. Regina takes the letter to read it as June is in tears. She says she misses her children so much and knows how much she failed them. Naomi steps in saying June loved those kids so much she called CPS on herself to give them the life they deserved. June and Regina have a moment and hold hands. June wonders if her kids are actually ok and Naomi promises not to stop until she finds out (Oh Lord…). Regina asks her sister to come home with her and she agrees. Bill and Hayley's Pad: Bill apologizes for not getting out of a meeting but she knows how busy he is. Hayley says she wants to start living again but first wants to go to the hospital to see Dr Macy, who gave her the news about the miscarriage. She wants to check in with the doctor about trying again and if her body can take it. Bill thinks they have all the time in the world for that conversation but she wants answers. Bill agrees to head over to Garland Memorial. Uptown: Eva meets up with Tomas and he hopes they can continue being friends. She agrees and shows him the inheritance letter. Garland Memorial Hospital – Lobby: Dr Macy arrives to chat with Bill and Hayley. She says a miscarriage wreaks havoc on hormones. Bill wants to reschedule but Hayley wants to be examined right then. They all head off together into the exam room. Leslie's Place: Eva returns and says there is a possibility the inheritance letter is real. Leslie isn't convinced but Eva continues by saying what's the harm in making the phone call. Previous Beyond The Gates Recap: Endings Leslie calls about the inheritance and the person on the line says they thought they would never find her. Dr Macy tells Bill and Hayley there doesn't seem to be any physical damage from the miscarriage and they can begin to try again in about three months. Hayley looks at Bill and says having a child is how she can show her love for him. Bill doesn't want her to agree for him and Hayley says it's for them. Jacob returns and Naomi asks about the foster facility. He called the director and now knows the children in the photo are actually Tyrell and Samantha.
