Hollywood star 'signs up for Celebrity Bake Off' after huge Netflix success

Daily Mirror10-07-2025
An actress, who shot to fame in hit Netflix series One Day, has reportedly signed up to participate in the next series of The Great British Celebrity Bake Off
Rumours surrounding which stars are set to appear in the next series of The Great British Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer have already started swirling, and the last name to be thrown into the ring is a famous actress.
The hit celebrity edition of the show, which tends to air every spring on Channel 4, sees four famous faces join hosts Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding in the tent each week to compete to be crowned Star Baker.

This year's series saw the likes of Roman Kemp, Kate Garraway, Gloria Hunniford, Chris Ramsey and Scarlette Douglas show off their baking skills.

Following in their footsteps is Hollywood actress Ambika Mod, who has reportedly signed up for the next series of The Great British Celebrity Bake Off.
"Bosses were thrilled to sign Ambika up - she's a fan of the show so loved doing it," a source told The Sun.

Reach PLC has contacted Channel 4 for comment.
Ambika, 29, is an actress, comedian and writer, who is best known for starring in BBC's This Is Going to Hurt and Netflix series One Day.
She played Emma Morley in One Day, which is an adaptation of David Nicholls' novel of the same name. The series proved to be immensely popular with Netflix viewers and saw Ambika's fame skyrocket overnight.

In 2025, the actress has appeared in Black Bag, Disney+ thriller The Stolen Girl and action comedy Sacrifice.
Ambika is the latest star to be rumoured to be appearing on The Great British Celebrity Bake Off, with names such as JoJo Siwa and Molly-Mae Hague having also been linked to the show so far.

It's rumoured that Love Island star Molly could be set to add baking to her skillset, while JoJo is reportedly set to add the show to her long list of TV ventures, following her stint on Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year.
Edith Bowman is also said to be taking part in the Channel 4 series, in addition to comedian Babatunde Aleshe.
Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond host both the civilian and celebrity versions of Bake Off, while Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith are usually on judging duties.
However, the 2025 series of Celebrity Bake Off saw Prue replaced by her close friend Caroline Waldegrave.

In a two-star review for The Independent, Olivia Petter dubbed The Bonnie Blue Story 'sad, uncomfortable and prurient viewing'.

Her brazen antics were laid bare in her new fly-on-the-wall Channel 4 documentary, 1,000 Men And Me: The Bonnie Blue Story. 6 Bonnie Blue left viewers outraged in her new documentary Credit: Channel 4 6 She was blasted by viewers for trying to 'normalise the behaviour' Credit: Instagram/@bonnie_blue_xox 6 Her actions have been branded 'disgusting' and 'disgraceful' Credit: Channel 4 6 Bonnie's stunt even saw her banned from OnlyFans Credit: Channel 4 The shocking documentary revealed behind-the-scenes footage for Bonnie Blue's successful challenge where she aimed to sleep with 1,000 men in 12 hours. She ended the challenge having had sex with 1057 men, topping Lily Phillips' 100 men record. But viewers were left outraged after Bonnie - real name Tia Billinger - referred to herself as a "community worker". One said it was "disgusting" while another said on X that the whole documentary was a "disgrace". Many others took offence to her comment that her sex acts were a "community service". Angry viewers blasted her for "trying to normalise this behaviour" by influencing "impressionable" teenagers. Hundreds of users also expressed their disdain that the documentary was even being aired on TV. One wrote: "Why the hell is Channel 4 showing a documentary about Bonnie Blue....1000 Men & Me." Another commented: "This #bonnieblue documentary is absolutely depressing. "She could have had a dance career. I feel like I'm losing my mind watching this." Bonnie's shock claim to fame - bedding over 1,000 men in 12 hours - and filming sex content with 'barely legal' students saw her accused of 'setting women back 100 years'. OnlyFans started banning the content she was uploading with "non-professionals" or in other words people are not already content creators. Having been banned from OnlyFans a few months before, she has just switched to using Fansly: a similar adult content website. Bonnie has even been branded as dangerous for women as toxic masculinity influencer Andrew Tate, not least for referring to herself as a 'slut'. 'I've got no idea how it's going to go… he's probably just as controversial as I am,' she says. 'People either love him or hate him, he's a marketing genius.' 6 Bonnie talking to her mum in the documentary Credit: Channel 4
