Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth Split Over Her Public Image
We all remember Miley Cyrus's Bangerz era, which saw the former Disney star stepping away from her squeaky-clean image and embracing a rebellious, provocative persona.
Around that time that she released the Bangerz album in 2013, Miley found herself embroiled in a number of memorable controversies — like the time she twerked on Robin Thicke during a VMAs performance, or when she stripped naked in her 'Wrecking Ball' music video.
At this time, Miley was in a relationship with — and temporarily engaged to — Liam Hemsworth, whom she met on the set of The Last Song years prior. The pair got engaged for the first time back in May 2012, though they called it off the following September.
In 2016, news broke that Miley and Liam had rekindled their relationship and gotten engaged again. By late 2018, the pair were married — though they parted ways less than a year later.
During this time, Miley released her sixth studio album titled Younger Now, which marked a notable shift from her previous Bangerz era. The project was described by Pitchfork as a glimpse into Miley's 'post-neon maturity' that made a bold 'statement of reinvention,' with less songs about recreational drug use and being a "female rebel" and more inoffensive tracks — like 'Younger Now,' which detailed the way she'd grown up and changed, and 'Malbu,' which was about her rekindled relationship with Liam.
Miley notably switched up her public image around the release of Younger Now too, growing her hair out after famously rocking various shorter styles for years.
Last week, Miley sat down on the Every Single Album podcast to discuss her shift in public image. When asked about why she made a 'complete 180,' the singer candidly shared, 'I think that when me and Liam split up the first time with Bangerz, it was because it was like I was this provocateur and it was highly sexualized.'
'And so for Younger Now, the album, the reason I kind of like played into this innocence was because I think that was a way to keep and a way to stay…If I'm younger now, if I'm less awake as this sexual woman publicly, then this is going to be the way that I can keep a happy home,' she shared.
Miley went on to recall feeling a 'duty' to protect Liam's image when she was in a relationship with him. 'Liam was also a part of other big franchises like The Hunger Games, and his brother is a Marvel superhero. And so I was also representing the family,' she said. 'And so I felt like I needed to, and I, you know, it was my duty too, because my plan was this time, I didn't want the relationship to fall apart. I wanted it to stay intact. And the reason why it didn't work during Bangerz was because of that.'

Miley Cyrus Sings at ‘Something Beautiful' Premiere After Q&A Disruption
Miley Cyrus's Something Beautiful film premiered at New York's Tribeca Film Festival on June 6, and the Grammy winner shared another unexpected moment with fans. During a Q&A moderated by fashion journalist and New York Times best-selling author Derek Blasberg, Miley was interrupted by fans who were under the impression they were seated for a performance from the 'Easy Lover' hitmaker. One yelled, 'We thought this was a concert! We paid $800!' The discussion, which followed the world premiere of her 'one-of-a-kind pop opera,' continued to be disrupted by the crowd, who kept asking that Miley sing. One person specifically requested her fan favorite from the Hannah Montana: The Movie, 'The Climb.' At one point, she gave in and coyly responded, 'You have to start it.' Tickets to the film's world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival were originally described as 'an exclusive conversation with Miley Cyrus,' per the fest's website. Some fans in attendance took to social media to defend the interruptions, as several ticket retailers misleadingly listed resale tickets as a '2025 Endless Summer Vacation Tour.' 'This is the link I clicked on to buy. Says concert tour dates not movie dates,' one fan wrote with a screenshot of the retailer's ad. Others chimed in and criticized the audience's behavior, writing, 'She's better than me. I would've thrown my mic.' Another person praised Miley for how she handled the situation, adding, 'Not a Miley fan, but I respect that. Tiny gesture humanized her for me. Could have easily ignored the fan/hecklers, made it awkward for everyone on stage, but turned it into a singalong… probably did more for whatever movie this is than the entire interview that's going on.' All this to say: we truly don't deserve angels like Miley.

Doctor Doom's Rumored Sinister Interest in Franklin Richards Might Shape the Future of The MCU — GeekTyrant
There's a new rumor floating through the Marvel multiverse that could reframe how The Fantastic Four: First Steps connects to Avengers: Doomsday , andit involves Doctor Doom, Franklin Richards, and some very ominous plans. According to insider @MyTimeToShineH, 'Doom will take Franklin Richards and will use him for his plans.' That's a major claim, and if it holds water, it not only positions Doom as a central threat but also ties Marvel's First Family directly to the multiversal chaos unfolding in the Avengers films. Now, let's talk about Franklin Richards. This isn't just some sidekick-level character. On the page, Franklin is the son of Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman, and he's considered one of the most powerful beings in the entire Marvel Universe. We're talking cosmic-level, possibly omniversal-level. Franklin has reality-warping powers so vast, and in the comics Roma, the guardian of all realities, once said he was equal to the Celestials. He can astral project without range limits, manipulate time, and create life from nothing. He's formed entire planets, resurrected the dead, and even created a pocket universe. Oh, and he can also throw The Thing across a room with a single thought using his bio-blast telekinesis. If Doctor Doom sets his sights on that kind of power, it makes sense why the Fantastic Four would pursue him, or maybe send Franklin away to Earth-616 to protect him, inadvertently luring Doom there in the process. The upcoming First Steps post-credits scene reportedly hints at this connection. We still don't know if Robert Downey Jr.'s Victor Von Doom is from the same universe as the new Fantastic Four. If he is, that sets the stage for an emotionally and dramatically tangled relationship. If he isn't, it might mean Doom is chasing Franklin across realities, which makes the threat even more intense. Franklin isn't just another super-powered kid. He's a walking, talking reset button for reality. That makes him both a target and a weapon, and if Doom gets control of him, Avengers: Doomsday might live up to its title in ways the multiverse isn't ready for. Whether this is Marvel's plan or just well-informed speculation, it's exactly the kind of connective tissue that could make the next chapter of the MCU feel less like a reboot and more like an epic culmination. Either way, it seems Franklin Richards could be the key to everything.

Orlando Bloom Teases Pirates of the Caribbean Return With Johnny Depp
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek's network of contributors It's been eight years since the last "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie, but in spite of everything that's happened in the interim, Orlando Bloom seems hopeful that more movies are forthcoming. As reported by Collider, Bloom was promoting "Deep Cover" on ITV's "This Morning" when the question came up of Bloom once more playing Will Turner. The "Lord of the Rings" star expressed hope not only for his own return, but for the rest of "the band." Read More: 'Predator' Director Hints at Arnold Schwarzenegger Return "Well, I don't know, I can't say anything at the moment because I really don't know, but there's definitely availability," Bloom said. "I think they're trying to work out what it would all look like, I personally think it'd be great to get the band back together. That would be great, but there are always different ideas, and so we'll see where it lands." By getting "the band back together," Bloom presumably means not just himself, but former "Pirates" co-stars Keira Knightley and Johnny Depp. Depp is possibly the biggest wild card in the question of whether or not "the band" could ever get back together. Not only have studios still seemed a little hesitant to cast the controversial star, but Depp himself famously stated he wouldn't work for Disney again "for $300 million and a million alpacas." Still, nothing is impossible, and in the case of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" films, Disney has a lot of reasons to potentially revive the franchise. All told, the combined five "Pirates" movies pulled in a global box office of $4.5 billion. While Depp appeared in all five films, Bloom and Knightley only briefly appear in the fifth film, "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales", and skipped the fourth, "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides". Bloom is no stranger to big adventure franchises or to returning to them after a break. He reprised the role of elf archer Legolas for Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit" trilogy and it's possible he might be coming back again. "The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum" is set to be released December 17, 2027, and Bloom could very well be one of the franchise favorites to return along with Andy Serkis.
