Campus Activewear hosts distributor meet event 'Shoecase 2025'
Campus Activewear, India's leading sports and athleisure footwear brands hosted its distributor meet 'Shoecase 2025' under the theme, 'Move together and grow together' in the national capital New Delhi.
The two-day event saw participation by over 180 distributor partners from across India. Highlight of the event was a film conceptualised by Ogilvy showcasing real stories from Campus' distributor family.
The event also featured a fashion-first runway experience, showcasing the brand's latest 'Focus' collection.
Commenting on the event, Nikhil Aggarwal, CEO of Campus Activewear Ltd in a statement said, 'Shoecase 2025 wasn't just a milestone event—it was a reaffirmation of our purpose and our partnerships. Our distributors are more than just business partners—they are co-creators of our journey.'

Playing against Gael the other night, I didn't think I could hit the ball past him. 'It was so cold and I couldn't really do much but today the ball was getting up more and the faster conditions definitely suit me. Either way, I will be ready for my next round. 'Joao has caught the attention of everyone on tour, the players and the fans. Today my experience came through. Rapper Betty Boo says she did not want to ‘fade away' in her 50s, ahead of tour
The Scottish- Malaysian singer-songwriter, Alison Clarkson, 55, is best known for her 1990s hit single, Doin' The Do and her debut album Boomania. Speaking to The Times, she said she did not think she would make it to 50, after losing her parents when she was young. She is going on tour to celebrate 35 years since her hit single Doin' The Do was first released. Clarkson added: 'When I got there I felt the way so many women do at that age, that I didn't want to just fade away, to settle and not be seen. 'The question was, what would Betty Boo say aged 50? Would she still be feisty? In fact, as soon as I started writing for me, I could channel my teenage self. 'It's crazy that I'm about to do my first tour at 55, but why not? I love a challenge and I love that I still don't fit in anywhere. 'You get 90s tours now and it's all Britpop. The 80s tours are electro acts like the Human League. 'I'm from this exciting time in between that changed the future of pop. No-one's ever been able to put me in a box. I wouldn't have it any other way.' She was was also dealing with a lot of grief at the time, after losing her father in the 80s and caring for her terminally ill mother at the height of her career. She also cared for her nanny. She said: 'I never thought I'd make it to 50 because neither of my parents did. 'That's one of the reasons I didn't have children. I didn't want anyone to go through what I had. 'My priorities completely changed. 'Without sounding too deep, part of me died. I didn't feel like a pop star. I didn't have the headspace for it while dealing with so much grief.' The singer is also behind the hit songs Hey DJ – I Can't Dance To That Music You're Playing with the Beatmasters, and Where Are You Baby? Since the 90s she has released two more albums, Boomerang which came out in 2022 and Rip Up The Rulebook which was released last year. She took home the Best British Newcomer at the Brit Awards in 1991. Betty Boo Boomania 35 tour starts on June 5, with shows in Edinburgh, Cambridge and Southampton.

PM amenable to dialogue with ‘misled people' in Balochistan
Listen to article Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is willing to sit across the table with 'those who have been misled… who have been led astray' in Balochistan as he promised 'social and economic justice' to the people of the impoverished province which has been caught up in a spiral of deadly violence since 2006. 'We must strive to win back the people who were misled [by terrorists] to the wrong track. If there are any grievances, they should be resolved through dialogue in the spirit of brotherhood,' he said while referring to chronic grievances in the dirt-poor province which have been exploited by Baloch terrorist groups to promote their violent narrative. The prime minister was addressing a grand jirga in Quetta on Saturday which brought together tribal elders, lawmakers, and key stakeholders for consultations aimed at resolving long-standing issues, particularly those related to security and development. There has been an uptick in terrorist violence in the province which civil and military officials have blamed on India. 'The bloodthirsty terrorists, who are against the progress prosperity of Pakistan, are carrying out heinous acts of terrorism at the behest of foreign elements,' Premier Shehbaz said while referring to India. 'They must be stopped. We all must defeat their nefarious designs. If there are shortcomings in our response, these could be addressed with your guidance,' he told the jirga participants. 'All provinces are like brothers and will equally share resources of the country,' PM Shehbaz said, adding that the federal government was spending Rs70 billion on a solarisation project in Balochistan. Similarly, Rs150 billion would be diverted for building N25 highway, which is commonly referred to as the 'bloody highway' due to its precarious condition. Money for these projects would be acquired from the amount which the government was collecting after the drop in the prices of petroleum products in the international market. He said federal funds were the right of people of Balochistan and every penny would be spent transparently on the progress and prosperity of the province. He recalled that during his tenure as the chief minister of Punjab, he had allocated 10 per cent quota for students of Balochistan in different schemes of Punjab, including laptop schemes and scholarships in foreign and provincial educational institutions. In the past, Rs2 billion was allocated for a cardiac hospital in Balochistan, he added. The prime minister also recalled that Punjab had agreed to give part of its share from the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award to Balochistan in view of its development needs as the province is the largest in terms of area. 'In today's value, the funds diverted to Balochistan amount to Rs160 billion,' he explained. He said that during Nawaz Sharif's tenure as prime minister a lot of development projects were undertaken in Balochistan and President Zardari had initiated Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan package. Talking about the recent conflict with India, Premier Shehbaz said that on the night between May 6 and 7 and May 10 India attacked Pakistan but with the grace of Allah, the armed forces bravely defeated the enemy, who will remember its defeat forever. He thanked people of Pakistan for showing unity and standing shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan Army during the conflict. 'Now the enemy is scared and Pakistan's friendly countries are more confident after Pakistan's military victory over India,' he claimed.
