Set to replace Chubb
Live Events
Judkins was drafted to potentially become the Browns' lead back after the team parted ways with veteran Nick Chubb, who signed a one-year deal with the Houston Texans.
A standout at both Ole Miss and Ohio State, Judkins had a 1,000-yard rushing season with the Buckeyes last year and played a key role in their national championship run.
His arrest comes at a critical time, with Browns rookies scheduled to report for minicamp on July 18.
The incident not only casts doubt over his immediate availability but could also trigger action under the NFL's Personal Conduct Policy, which applies even before a player signs a contract.
Judkins is also one of several second-round picks yet to sign their rookie contracts.
The delay is reportedly tied to a broader standoff involving guaranteed money for players selected in the second round. Only two of the 32 second-round picks have signed deals so far.
Another offseason trouble for the Browns
This marks the second consecutive offseason in which a Browns rookie has been arrested on domestic violence charges before playing a game. Last year, it was defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr., also a second-round selection.
With Judkins' future unclear, the Browns may now lean more heavily on fourth-round pick Dylan Sampson to carry the load in training camp and potentially the regular season.
No court date has been set in Judkins' case, and the Browns have not issued a public statement yet.

Actively engaging with students, taking steps to address their concerns after 'rape' incident: IIM-C

The Indian Institute of Management-Calcutta on Sunday said it is actively engaging with students and taking necessary steps to address their concerns in the wake of the alleged sexual assault of a woman on its campus. The woman was allegedly raped by a student of IIM-Calcutta inside a hostel on the campus, police had said on Saturday. The accused student was arrested on Saturday on the basis of an FIR lodged by the woman, he said. A court here has remanded the student to police custody till July 19. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Play War Thunder now for free War Thunder Play Now Undo The IIM-Calcutta, however, declined to share details of the measures being undertaken, citing sensitivity of the matter and ongoing legal proceedings. "We are constantly engaging with our students internally to ensure their safety and well-being. I have instructed my team to do everything necessary to address the situation. This is my clear directive," Director-in-Charge Saibal Chattopadhyay told PTI. Live Events He said the IIM-Calcutta campus is co-educational and the recent developments have led to some apprehension among parents, which he termed as "natural" given that the institute has never faced such a situation in the past. "I cannot speak in detail about what we are doing. We will not share with the media anything more than what we have already said in our statement on Saturday, as this matter is both sensitive and sub judice," Chattopadhyay added. In its statement issued on Saturday, IIM Calcutta had said: "We are treating this matter with the utmost seriousness and are fully cooperating with the law enforcement authorities, who are currently conducting an investigation. The concerned individual has been taken into police custody, and the legal process is underway." The institute is committed to ensuring that due process is followed while safeguarding the dignity, safety, and privacy of all individuals involved, it had said. "We wish to affirm that the Indian Institute of Management-Calcutta has zero tolerance for such incidents and remains steadfast in upholding a safe and respectful campus environment," the statement added. Police have constituted a nine-member special investigation team (SIT) to probe into the alleged incident. The woman's father, however, has claimed that the reported incident did not take place.

IND vs ENG 3rd Test: 'I'd play rugby with that' – Stuart Broad ridicules Dukes ball as shape controversy erupts at Lord's

Stuart Broad (Video grab) Former England fast bowler Stuart Broad has sparked fresh debate around the quality of the Dukes ball used in the ongoing India vs England Test series, dramatically claiming he would rather "play rugby" with one of the rejected balls used during the third Test at Lord's. Live Score: India vs England 3rd Test The third Test has seen multiple ball changes across the first two innings, with players from both sides voicing their concerns about the ball going out of shape too quickly. After Day 3, the discussion found its way into the Sky Sports, where Broad, alongside Michael Atherton , examined one of the balls deemed unfit for play. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! Atherton began by questioning the decision to change it: "Got a ball from this game that was changed. That one did not go through the gauge and was deemed to be unsuitable. Now, my view is that that's a perfectly good ball to bowl with... I think they're being precious on that point. What do you think?" Jasprit Bumrah and Joe Root react to the Dukes ball drama at Lord's | IND vs ENG Broad though didn't hold back: "Well, I'm outnumbered with three batters and one bowler. I would play rugby with that. I'd be rolling that to the umpire and it would sort of go, bonk, bonk, bonk. I mean, the reason it's out of shape is because it's soft and I can squeeze that. I can squeeze that even more out of shape." Poll Do you agree with Stuart Broad's assessment of the Dukes ball quality? Yes, the quality has declined. No, the ball is still good. Not sure. He added that such balls become ineffective for both bowlers and batters alike: "It gets a bit of an ugly shape on the top. When that's hitting the pitch and the surface, it's just dying on the surface. It's not going to react off the surface. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like So sánh mức trượt giá: Hợp đồng tương lai (CFD) Bitcoin vs Ethereum IC Markets Tìm hiểu thêm Undo You need the harness of the seam to grip and move... even to be able to play a lovely cover drive and hit the ball for four." Highlighting the change in playing conditions over time, Broad noted: "It's frustrating for a batter when you hit it through the covers... it rolls for two or three when it should've gone for four. First 10 years of my career, I can't remember changing a ball ever. It's a new thing. Maybe the ball quality, in my opinion. Yes." The Dukes ball is now under the scanner - and Broad's blunt assessment has only intensified scrutiny. AI 171 crash report: India commercial pilots' association slams 'pilot suicide theory'

Air India plane's parts after crashing in Ahmedabad on June 12, leaving all the passengers and crew members killed except one. -File Image NEW DELHI: The India Commercial Pilots' Association (ICPA) has slammed the "reckless and unfounded insinuation of pilot suicide" that has been doing the rounds after the preliminary report into AI 171 crash was made public on Saturday. While not sharing the cockpit voice recorder transcript, the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) report had this one line: "One of the pilots is heard asking the other why did he cutoff. The other pilot responded that he did not do so." According to the report, three seconds after getting airborne from Ahmedabad on June 12, fuel supply to both engines of the Air India Boeing 787 operating as AI 171 got cut off. The reason: fuel cutoff switches of the London-bound Dreamliner's engine 1 and 2 transitioned from 'run' to 'cutoff' position one after another with a time gap of a second. ICPA, which is the union of erstwhile Indian Airlines, said in a statement issued Sunday: "We are deeply disturbed by speculative narratives, particularly the reckless and unfounded insinuation of pilot suicide. Let us be unequivocally clear: there is absolutely no basis for such a claim at this stage, and invoking such a serious allegation based on incomplete or preliminary information is not only irresponsible-it is deeply insensitive to the individuals and families involved. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Paras Sector 59 Gurgaon | Luxury Awaits at Paras Floret Paras The Florett Book Now Undo " Expressing their "unwavering support for the flight crew of Air India flight Al 171," the statement added: "Pilots undergo extensive psychological and professional screening, recurrent training, and operate under the highest standards of safety, responsibility, and mental fitness. To casually suggest pilot suicide in the absence of verified evidence is a gross violation of ethical reporting and a disservice to the dignity of the profession. " "As aviation professionals, we trust and respect the rigorous investigative protocols established by competent authorities. These inquiries are designed to uncover facts methodically and without bias. Until the official investigation is concluded and the final report is published, any speculation-especially of such a grave nature-is unacceptable and must be condemned.... The crew of Al 171 acted in line with their training and responsibilities under challenging conditions. They deserve support-not vilification based on conjecture," it said.
