The plans also included cutting Lorraine episodes by 30 minutes and extending Good Morning Britain.
This Morning and Loose Women were unaffected by scheduling changes and will remain in their regular slots of 10.30am to 12.30pm and 12.30pm to 1.30pm, respectively.
However, Loose Women will broadcast fewer episodes - airing "on a seasonal basis for 30 weeks of the year" according to the network.
Now Coleen - who has been a Loose Women panellist since 2000 - has spoken out about the 'devastating' impact the changes will have.
She told The Mirror: "Loose Women isn't ending, which I'm so thankful for, but it's changing.
"It's going to be very different in the respect of the size of the crew, but it's still running.
"Which it should be – there isn't another show that celebrates and supports all women of every size, age, whatever.
"But it's heartbreaking to see some of my colleagues not knowing what they're going to do. Many of them have young families and mortgages.'
She continued: "You read about it all the time – a chain store's shutting down and 300 people are affected.
"You go, oh that's awful. Anyway, what do you want for dinner?', because it doesn't directly affect you.
Coleen Nolan chokes back tears as she admits nearly quitting Loose Women after sister Linda's death
'I've never been so close to it. It's made me realise how much this is happening across the whole country at the moment and it's devastating.'
Kevin Lygo, Managing Director of ITV's Media and Entertainment Division, said: 'Daytime is a really important part of what we do, and these scheduling and production changes will enable us to continue to deliver a schedule providing viewers with the news, debate and discussion they love from the presenters they know and trust as well generating savings which will allow us to reinvest across the programme budget in other genres.
'These changes also allow us to consolidate our news operations and expand our national, international and regional news output and to build upon our proud history of trusted journalism at a time when our viewers need accurate, unbiased news coverage more than ever.'

It'll film later this year to air in early 2026, and Alison Hammond will host! — sᴜᴘᴇʀ ᴛᴠ (@superTV247) July 12, 2025 BBC's Hole in the Wall coming back after 'successful pilot' The news that the BBC was reportedly looking to reboot the Hole in the Wall show came out earlier this year. Now, according to a new report from The Mirror, the BBC has given the green light for a full series after a "successful pilot". Alison Hammond, who already presents on ITV's This Morning, will become the new host of the gameshow. Since competing in Big Brother in 2002 and rising to prominence, Hammond has also become the co-presenter on Channel 4's The Great British Bake Off. The TV star has also been in a number of other shows, such as I'm a Me Out of Here! (2010), Strictly Come Dancing (2014), Celebrity Masterchef (2014), and as a panellist on ITV's Loose Women. On the pilot, a source told the publisher: 'Alison made a splash in the pilot, so it was a no-brainer for bosses. 'It's the perfect fit for her. It's fun, exciting and doesn't take itself too seriously - just like Alison.' It is reported that the series will be filmed later this year and air in 2026. How does Hole in the Wall work? ITV presenter addresses Loose Women co-star 'joining Strictly Come Dancing line-up'
ITV presenter addresses Loose Women co-star 'joining Strictly Come Dancing line-up' A familiar face is rumoured to have signed up for the new series of Strictly Come Dancing, and now her former Loose Women co-star Katie Piper has shared some advice Stacey Solomon is one of the names rumoured to appear on Strictly Come Dancing (Image: ITV ) Loose Women's Katie Piper has spoken out about the buzz that her former co-star Stacey Solomon is tipped to join the star-studded cast of this year's Strictly Come Dancing. While the professional dancers for the upcoming series have been unveiled, the BBC has yet to confirm the celebrity line-up, with rumours swirling around names like Dani Dyer, Tom Parker Bowles, Paul C Brunson, and Sir Mo Farah, in addition to Stacey. Stacey, 35, hasn't addressed the rumours, but Katie who herself took part in Strictly in 2018 and was paired with Gorka Marquez before being the third celeb to exit, has offered some sage advice from her own experience. In a candid chat, Katie, reflecting on her stint which began just months after welcoming her second child, described the initial training as "hard" but expressed her fondness for the experience. Although she's only crossed paths with Stacey once and isn't as acquainted with her as other Loose Women panellists are, Katie didn't hesitate to impart some encouragement, urging those set to embark on the Strictly journey to "enjoy it", reports Edinburgh Live. She enthused about the unique opportunity, saying, "When are you ever going to get the chance ever again to dance with a professional dancer, in front of all those people? Strictly goes all out with the wigs, the makeup, all the costumes." Article continues below Katie appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018 (Image: BBC ) She explained: "So it's quite a unique opportunity to have and to wear all the stuff and seeing pictures and footage of yourself professionally dancing, if that's not your chosen career, it's quite an incredible world to dip into." Despite her stint on the BBC show, the mother-of-two now finds it challenging to juggle watching the programme with family commitments and her TV roles, including presenting an ITV breakfast show. Explaining her routine, she said: "I have a breakfast show on ITV and it starts at 8.25am so I'm not really this big Saturday night person," and added how she prioritises time with her children over the weekends, enjoying activities like swimming and lunch out together. "And then really in the evenings, I have to say, it's like proper mum mode where I'm tidying up, my eldest goes to bed at half eight or nine and I usually go up to bed because then I'm up early." Katie was partnered with Gorka Marquez on Strictly (Image: BBC/Guy Levy ) Now that Katie's children are getting older, she's keen on fostering family connection away from the whirlwind of professional and social media engagements, which is why she's collaborating with easyJet on their latest initiative. easyJet has initiated the "Airplane Mode" campaign aimed at supporting families like Katie's to engage deeply with each other, detached from the distractions of gadgets and everyday stress. As part of the initiative, the airline has introduced a family card game involving conversation-sparking questions and prompts to share advice and meaningful experiences with each other, that will be handed out for free for families jetting off on holiday, available at airports across the UK from today (while stocks last). "It's a brilliant initiative and it's so overdue," Katie said. "We all understand the social media dangers for children, and I don't actually think it's all about putting the blame on kids. I think I speak for myself as a mum, we're guilty of always being on our phones and our children wanting to connect with us, and they can't." Katie is mum to two children and is looking to help the family reconnect with a new campaign (Image: Katie Piper Instagram ) Katie's concerns about parent-child communication have been heightened by the thought-provoking Netflix series Adolescence and the easyJet campaign. "You can't just be checking notifications and emails whilst you're trying to get them to confide in you, and you can't just accept them saying 'Oh no, I'm fine' when they get in from school and put their bag down. "It was one of the most important pieces of television I'd seen in a while, and I got speaking to easyJet quite soon after that about this initiative." She added: "This is something I feel so passionate about, even if I wasn't doing this campaign." Article continues below The easyJet Airplane Mode card game will be available to customers at UK airports including London Gatwick, London Luton, Bristol, Manchester, Edinburgh and Belfast this summer (while stocks last). Mark Wright provokes furious backlash with 'dangerous' swimming pool prank
Former The Only Way Is Essex star Mark Wright left fans unimpressed when he shared a video showing himself pushing his elderly dad into a swimming pool - prompting a backlash Mark Wright sparked a backlash among his fans when he shared footage of himself pushing his dad into a swimming pool in apparently shallow water. The former The Only Way Is Essex star, 38, is the son of former car dealership businessman Mark Wright, Sr, 68, and former events organiser Carol Wright, 64. The Wright family - which also includes reality star Jess, 39, footballer Josh, 35, and model Natalya, 24 - have featured on various reality shows, including the BBC show A Wright Old Adventure as well as ITV's Towie. As such, fans have had access to hours and hours of footage about the family and have been given front row access to their personal lives. Beyond this, fans have been able to feel even closer to Mark and his family thanks to social media. But over the weekend, Mark appeared to overstep the bounds of acceptance when he shared footage of a prank that many fans feared had the potential to go spectacularly wrong. Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Mark uploaded a video clip of himself creeping up on his father who was standing at the edge of a swimming pool. Other family members were gathered in and around the pool as Mark padded towards his father. As he reached the older businessman, Mark reached out and pushed his dad into the pool - shoving him in at the shallow edge where tiled steps led down to the water and where a young boy was swimming casually. After being submerged, Mark Sr resurfaced and was less than impressed. He swore colourfully as he reached into the pocket of his shorts and pulled out his phone - which was at risk of being damaged by the water. Meanwhile Mark laughed away in the background of the footage. The former Towie star shared the footage on his main grid alongside a caption stating: "Sorry for the language the old man didn't like that one @bigmarkwright," and with a couple of crying-with-laughter emojis. But fans and followers were not amused by the clip and many took to the comments section to express their deep concern. One wrote in reply: "Not funny with the steps and the child, could have ended badly." A post shared by Mark Wright (@wrigAnd another questioned: "Did anyone else has anxiety over the little boy getting squashed in that water??" It turned out many did feel similarly, with one responding: "that and his dad breaking his ankle on steps" - while another typed: "also that his old man could have seriously gone over on his ankle or hurt his knee, hip etc. I'm all for fun but no chance I'd be doing this to my dad." Another follower hit out writing: "So bloody dangerousl pushing someone into a pool ffs." And another bluntly responded: "Not even slightly funny." Some fans accused Mark of showcasing typical behaviour, with one writing: "This is not funny why you so rude to your parents I've seen this in your reality shows as well." But others defended the star, with one writing: "God what a load of Karen's, in the top dads fine it's a family thing. So stop." And others had more sympathy for Mark Sr's reaction, with one writing: "With his phone in his pocket I'd be fuming." Family members were among those reacting to the post, with Mark's older sister commenting: "Of course daughter Jess comes to the rescue." While youngest sister Natalya wrote: "Poor dad" along with a crying-with-laughter emoji.
