Cooper Hoffman, David Jonsson and more set foot on a deadly contest in The Long Walk.
On Wednesday, May 7, Lionsgate released the first trailer for The Long Walk, an adaptation of Stephen King's 1979 novel, which follows a group of 100 teen boys who enter the titular contest and must walk 3 miles per hour without stopping until only one participant remains.
The trailer sees Hoffman's character Ray Garratty meet other contest participants like McVries (Jonsson, 31) as they prepare to set off on the contest, which is overseen by a TV camera crew and a group of soldiers led by a character known only as the Major (Mark Hamill.)
When one participant falls behind and can't get back up, he only receives three quick warnings before a soldier shoots and kills him.

The Hunting Wives might scratch that itch. Based on the 2021 bestselling novel of the same name by May Cobb, the series follows Sophie (Brittany Snow) as she moves with her family to Maple Brook, Texas, and becomes enraptured by an alluring Southern socialite. When the series landed on Snow's desk, she told People that she 'read the scripts of all eight episodes within a couple hours. I was completely hooked. I was desperate to find out what was going to happen.' All eight episodes are now streaming on Netflix. Ahead, get to know the main cast—and see where you might already recognize them from. Brittany Snow (Pitch Perfect, John Tucker Must Die) plays Sophie, a former PR exec who moves with her family from Massachusetts to Texas. There, she quickly gets wrapped up in a cliquey socialite circle. Malin Åkerman (Dollface, Billions) plays Margo, the wife of an oil tycoon and the HBIC of a group of MAGA-esque socialites known as the Hunting Wives. Dermot Mulroney (Shameless, Chicago Fire) plays Jed, Margo's husband and a successful oil tycoon. He's also running for Texas governor. Evan Jonigkeit (Sweetbitter) plays Graham, Sophie's husband. While in Texas, he begins working for Jed as an architect for a big project. Chrissy Metz (This Is Us) plays Starr, a devout Christian and single mother who is a bit of an outsider in the Maple Brook community. Jaime Ray Newman (Dopesick) plays Callie, Margo's close friend and ex-lover who is very possessive of her. Katie Lowes (Scandal) plays Jill, the disregarded wife of a reverend at a megachurch. She mostly focuses on her son, Brad, and the Hunting Wives. Madison Wolfe (The Conjuring 2) plays Abby, girlfriend to Brad—Jill's son—and daughter to Starr. Joyce Glenn (Checkmate) plays Monae, a member of the Hunting Wives.

'Sex and the City' spinoff 'And Just Like That' to end with Season 3 just like that

"And Just Like That" is over, just like that. Michael Patrick King – an executive producer of the "Sex and the City" spinoff, which airs on HBO Max – revealed the show will abruptly end at the end of the current season, in a note posted to the show's social media pages Aug. 1. "And just like that... the ongoing storytelling of the 'Sex And The City' universe is coming to an end," King wrote. "While I was writing the last episode of 'And Just Like That...' season 3, it became clear to me that this might be a wonderful place to stop." He said that he and franchise star Sarah Jessica Parker "held off announcing the news until now because we didn't want the word 'final' to overshadow the fun of watching the season." King said, "It's with great gratitude we thank all the viewers who have let these characters into their homes and their hearts over these many years." 'And Just Like That' Season 3: Date, time, how to watch new episodes The "SATC" revival premiered on HBO Max in late 2021, featuring three out of the four original stars, minus Kim Cattrall's promiscuous Samantha Jones. However, the fan favorite Manhattanite made an offscreen appearance through a text conversation with Parker's lead character, Carrie Bradshaw. In the spinoff, Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte York (Kristin Davis) were back on the New York City streets and fans' TV screens. 'And Just Like That' finale to end Season 3 The show is set to end with a two-part finale on Aug. 7 and Aug. 14 on HBO Max. Sarah Jessica Parker speaks out on 'AJLT' ending In an Instagram post after the news broke, Parker said a heartfelt goodbye to a character she's loved for nearly 30 years. "Carrie Bradshaw has dominated my professional heartbeat for 27 years. I think I have loved her most of all. I know others have loved her just as I have. Been frustrated, condemned and rooted for her," Parker wrote. "The symphony of all those emotions has been the greatest soundtrack and most consequential companion. Therefore the most sentimental and profound gratitude and lifetime of debt. To you all." She echoed King's earlier message, writing,"MPK and I together recognized, as we have in the past, this chapter complete." "AJLT was all joy, adventure, the greatest kind of hard work alongside the most extraordinary talent of 380 that includes all the brilliant actors who joined us," Parker said. "I am better for every single day I spent with you." Davis added in her own Instagram post: "I am profoundly sad. I love our whole beautiful cast and crew. 400 artisans working so hard on our show with deep love. And to our loyal fans, we love you forever and ever." Despite a loyal following of "SATC" fans and new viewers, the show has drawn criticism for its confusing plotlines and character development since Season 1.
