The Real Reason Why Vanessa Lachey Isn't On Netflix's Perfect Match
Perfect Match brings together fan-favourite singles from some of the best datings shows - including Love Is Blind, Love Island, Temptation Island, The Bachelor, Too Hot To Handle and more – for a dating series like no other. In this ultimate dating show crossover, contestants compete to form romantic connections. The couples' compatibility is put to the test as they face challenges all in the pursuit of finding their perfect match.
Hosted by dating show connoisseur Nick Lachey, many fans have been left wondering where his wife, Vanessa, is and why she isn't hosting the show as well. The pair, who have been married since 2011 and share three children, have become the faces of both Netflix's Love Is Blind: USA and The Ultimatum . However, on Perfect Match , Nick hosts solo.

It's said that Vanessa's much noticed absence comes from her booked and busy schedule! During the time of the filming for Perfect Match so far, when she wasn't hosting every other dating show for Netflix, her time was consumed by NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service). Vanessa joined the cast of NCIS Hawaii in 2021 starring as Agent Jane Tennant, the first female lead agent in the show. NCIS Hawaii has subsequently been cancelled after three seasons.

In an interview with People magazine, Nick commented on not working with his wife on Perfect Match , saying that Vanessa 'couldn't make it happen' and whilst he 'missed' Vanessa he is still 'thrilled to be able to do it by himself'.
In an Instagram post that Vanessa dedicated to her husband, she congratulated Nick on 'his' show Perfect Match and shared that she enjoyed the freedom of 'star-fishing solo' in bed whilst he was away filming.
Nick didn't rule out more on-screen moments with his wife telling People, 'It's fun to do both [working solo and working with Vanessa], honestly I really love hosting with her.'
Season three of Perfect Match was filmed in Tulum, Mexico.
Season Three of Netflix's Perfect Match is on Netflix now.

Netflix's six-part limited series with 100% rating fans forget exists
Released a couple of years ago, the Netflix series is still going under the radar The Playlist Netflix trailer Netflix viewers are only now rediscovering a forgotten treasure that holds a flawless Rotten Tomatoes rating. The Playlist is a limited series billed as a docudrama which chronicles a fictionalised account of how music streaming giant Spotify came to be. The show draws inspiration from the book Spotify Untold. Spanning six episodes, The Playlist centres on young Swedish tech innovator Daniel Ek and his crucial collaborators who transformed an entire industry by providing free and legitimate streamed music globally. The synopsis describes it as a tale of how unwavering beliefs, relentless determination, opportunity and ambitious visions can enable underdogs to disrupt established norms by revolutionising how we all experience music. Despite debuting on the streaming platform in 2022, it appears countless Netflix users have overlooked its presence. This oversight seems peculiar given its perfect 100% score on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, reports the Mirror. One reviewer proclaimed the series establishes fresh benchmarks for its category, stating: "The Playlist is near perfect. The mini-series sets the bar high for all biographical dramas to come after it. Particularly because it captures the ills of the tech industry, the joy, the fallout, and the many many people that all go into one success..." A critic from The Guardian hinted that the series finale alone makes it binge-worthy, writing: "One thing I won't spoil is how the series ends. This is because it is incredibly, brain-breakingly weird, and anyone who sits through all six hours of The Playlist deserves to feel the same jolting discomfort that I did." Conversely, another review, bestowing a full five stars, praised the series effusively: "The Playlist is 2022's best drama. The scripts are sharp, pacey, funny and cleverly structured to provide each key player in the story with a voice. The performances are great without straying into bluster or scenery chewing, and there's a constant motion in the narrative that keeps you utterly captivated. Do not skip this one." Netflix users who have discovered the show also speak highly of it, suggesting it's a limited series perfect for an evening's viewing. One viewer shared their enthusiasm online, saying: "Riveting enough to be a definite binge watch." Echoing this sentiment, another wrote: "Really great series. Enjoyed it and binge watched it in one evening. I also like the idea of how they built the episodes logically to make the whole story." Adding to the chorus of approval, another person posted: "The way they showed how the journey of each individual played into the plot was very impressive. A 10/10 absolute binge worthy." Another individual commented: "Highly gripping and inspiring. True reflection of today's startup culture. Loved it!". The Playlist is streaming on Netflix.

Beverley's Esme Kingdom says Netflix gave her 'the best summer'
My Oxford Year star Esme Kingdom, 26, said she had to "pinch herself" when the film aired on Netflix. Ms Kingdom, from South Dalton, near Beverley, secured her first major role as Maggie Timbs in the romantic drama which was the top film in the UK on the streaming platform last week. Esme grew up attending musical theatre classes in Hull before going on to study at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) during the pandemic, which meant she had to attend classes on said: "I had to pretend to be an owl in my back garden during Covid and my neighbours were probably looking out of the window thinking what the hell is going on in the Kingdom household." Esme said filming the movie was "the best summer of my life." "We were being so silly and eating so much food and it was the funniest summer I've ever had," she said. "And I see the the cast at least once a week still." The cast included Sofia Carson, an American actress who has starred in several Netflix and Disney shows and Corey Mylchreest - well known for his roll as King George in the Netflix show Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. Esme said director Iain Morris "was very much on the vibe of improvise around the script. So, because the part felt quite similar to me, it came quite naturally." "I come from a very, very small village," she said. "So there wasn't a huge amount of opportunity within the fields and the cows." She added: "I guess there is a lack of opportunity around here, but there's so many actors and actresses that have seemed to come out of Beverley." The East Yorkshire town has seen a series of actors rise to stardom over the last decade including Anna Maxwell Martin, who starred in Line of Duty, Eleanor Tomlinson, who played a lead roll in Poldark, and Lewis Pemberton, known for his role in attending RADA remotely, she said she remembered "doing voice exercises and having to slap people over the screen. It was so silly but it got me to where I am today."Esme said she wished she could tell herself "everything is going to be fine and you'll achieve your dream before you even know it."She hopes to be in more films in the future and continue to put East Yorkshire on the map.
