DCP inspects patrol mobiles and blue colts
During the inspection, the condition of the vehicles and the readiness of the staff were closely assessed. Particular attention was given to the availability and functionality of Anti-Desecration Drill equipment, First Aid Kits, and the staff's knowledge and ability to perform CPR and operate fire extinguishers. The DCP K Shilpavalli interacted with the personnel, underscoring the significance of their role as the first line of response to Dial 112 emergency calls.
The DCP instructed to maintain a smart, alert, and polite demeanor while dealing with the public, and to actively engage with citizens during their patrolling duties. They were advised to carry out public awareness campaigns at key locations on issues such as cyber safety, Dial 112 usage, and general safety practices.
The importance of foot patrolling was emphasized as a means to increase police visibility and to gain better understanding of local issues. Instructions were also issued to ensure prompt and vigilant checks on MO offenders, maintain updated Point Books, and install and geo-tag 'Nenu Saitham' surveillance cameras as part of the crime prevention strategy.
The DCP also issued a stern reminder regarding the need for discipline, integrity, and professional conduct at all times. Women constables deployed in Patrol Mobile duties were specially appreciated for their service, and Station House Officers were directed to ensure greater representation of women constables in these frontline roles. The inspection was also attended by ADCP Central Zone, SHOs of Saifabad, Domalguda, and Gandhinagar Police Stations, as well as DIs of Lake, Abids, Musheerabad, and Gandhinagar.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], August 14 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav flagged off 1200 First Response Vehicles (FRVs) for newly integrated emergency response service Dial-112 for the districts from Bhopal on Thursday, stated an official Yadav launched the vehicles from the program organised at Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium in the state capital. The state government has allocated over Rs 1,500 crore for these vehicles, reaffirming that citizens' safety remains its top priority. Addressing the occasion, the CM says that the police play a vital role in maintaining social order and extended congratulations to Madhya Pradesh Police on the launch of Dial 112, calling it a new initiative to enhance police responsiveness. 'This emergency number will become a cornerstone of a society's safety & security ecosystem, serving as both a promise of swift police response and a commitment to assistance for the people of the state," he said. The new Dial 112 will replace the old Dial 100 services which have already been adopted by other states, including Uttar Pradesh. Through its vigilance and efficiency, Dial 100 has ensured the safety of 2.23 lakh elderly citizens, more than 19 lakh women, 1,300 newborns and reunited 23,000 missing children with their families — a significant achievement for the MP Police, the release added. The Chief Minister further says that efforts are underway to strengthen surveillance by integrating cameras installed at public places with other monitoring systems. The government is also attentive to the needs of police personnel working in difficult conditions. Cultural and historical gateways are being developed on main roads of towns and cities, reflecting local heritage while also aiding security and making all-weather duty easier for personnel. Technology has brought major changes to policing in the state, including the introduction of e-summons via video calls and the internet — a process in which Madhya Pradesh is a national leader, with other states following its Director General of Police (DGP) Kailash Makwana called the launch of Dial 112 a historic occasion. He recalled that on MP Foundation Day 2015, the Dial 100 service was introduced in the state, which has since assisted lakhs of citizens through 1,000 vehicles. Under CM Yadav's direction, 200 more vehicles have been added, bringing the total to 1,200 FRVs, all equipped with state-of-the-art Dial-112 service will bring together multiple emergency numbers under a single helpline. The integrated number will cover police (100), health/ambulance (108), fire services (101), women's helpline (1090), cybercrime (1930), railway assistance (139), highway accident response (1099), disaster management (1079), and women and child helplines (181, 1098). Land allocated to special armed police at 2 places
1 2 Patna: The Bihar Special Armed Police-06 battalion in Muzaffarpur will get 32.38 acres of land for its operations. Additionally, the Bihar Special Armed Police-19 battalion, currently operating from the BSAP-08 Begusarai campus, will be allocated 33.44 acres in Manjhaul area of Begusarai district for constructing its headquarters and other infrastructure. The govt has also made land available for various police establishments, including 24 police stations, six outposts, and offices for senior police officials, totalling 39 new sites across the state. The expansion aims to strengthen the police infrastructure and enhance operational efficiency, said additional director general (ADG) of State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB) and modernisation, Sudhanshu Kumar, while addressing a press conference here on Friday. He said the state govt has implemented the Special Armed Police Act, 2021. The Act entrusts the Bihar Special Armed Police (BSAP) with the responsibility of safeguarding both public and private sector enterprises, including vital installations such as airports, metro rail, power plants, and sites of historical and cultural significance. For the permanent building of the Dial 112 project, 84.36 acres of land has been allocated in Rajiv Nagar, Patna. The detailed project report of the project is being prepared," the ADG said. The ADG further said in a bid to modernise the police force, the govt plans to purchase 24 bulletproof vehicles for the districts affected by Left-wing extremism; 1,000 walkie-talkies for railway police districts; 42 motorcycles for district police, and six SUVs for the BSAP. He added, "A committee led by the inspector general of police, modernization, has been formed to study and recommend adoption of advanced policing systems from other states, with an aim to integrate these into Bihar's police organisation." Two men found dead in parked car in Noida, asphyxiation suspected
Two men were found dead inside a locked parked car in Noida's Sector 62 on Monday afternoon, with police suspecting asphyxiation as the likely cause. The car belonging to one of the victims in which both were found dead. (HT Photo) The deceased were identified as Sachin Sharma, 27, a taxi driver, and Laxmi Kumar, 50, a daily wager, both residents of Prem Vihar in Khora Colony, Ghaziabad, police said. According to police, a call was received around 12:30pm via Dial 112, informing them that two men were lying unconscious inside a Hyundai Aura CNG car parked near a park close to a private school in Sector 62. 'Upon getting information, a team of Sector 58 police was rushed to the spot, and a forensic team was called,' said Amit Kumar, station house officer (SHO) of the Sector 58 police station. Police found that the car was locked from the inside with the key still in the ignition, both the petrol and CNG tank were empty.'Sachin was found lying on the front seats, while Laxmi was seated in the rear. There were no visible injury marks on their bodies,' SHO Kumar said, adding that the car was later towed for inspection. During the preliminary inquiry, it emerged that the two men had been missing since Sunday night. 'When they didn't return home by Monday morning and their phones remained unreachable, family members began looking for them. Around 12 noon, locals informed them that Sachin's car had been parked in Sector 62 since the previous night,' the SHO said. Sachin's father, Ramgopal Sharma, was among those who reached the scene. 'Initially, they tried knocking, but after getting no response, Ramgopal broke the window and unlocked the car,' police said. A senior police officer said that family members had informed them that the two men were regular alcohol consumers and often spent time drinking inside the car. 'It is suspected that they consumed alcohol on Sunday night and turned on the air conditioner to rest. The car may have run out of fuel while the AC was still on, leading to lack of oxygen and suspected asphyxiation,' the officer said, requesting anonymity. Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem, and the exact cause of death will be determined by the autopsy. The vehicle will also be examined by technicians to rule out any mechanical fault or CNG leakage, officials said, adding that the CNG tank was factory-fitted.
