John Leguizamo is ready to talk about Bruno!
Leguizamo, 64, who voiced the character of Bruno in Disney's Encanto, told PEOPLE on Wednesday, March 19, during the opening night for the Buena Vista Social Club that he'd love to see a sequel to the 2021 musical about the Madrigals, a multi-generational family with magical gifts.
"I'm also waiting for an Encanto 2 when all we do is talk about Bruno," Leguizamo said, alluding to one of the movie's fan-favorite songs "We Don't Talk About Bruno."
"I'm calling them everyday saying 'When is number two coming?' They're trying to come up with the storyline. They're working on it," Leguizamo added.
Disney has not officially announced an Encanto 2.

Encanto — which features songs from Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton and Moana) — debuted in theaters on Nov. 24, 2021.
The film's magical story is about the extraordinary Madrigal family, who live in the secluded mountains of Colombia in a magical house called Encanto. The magic of the home has blessed every family member with special and unique gifts ranging from super-strength to speaking with animals to healing — except for one person: Mirabel.
When Mirabel (voiced by Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Stephanie Beatriz) discovers the magic surrounding Encanto is in danger, she finds she might be her family's only hope. The film also includes the voices of María Cecilia Botero, Wilmer Valderrama, Adassa, Diane Guerrero, Mauro Castillo, Angie Cepeda, Jessica Darrow, Rhenzy Feliz and Carolina Gaitan.
"We Don't Talk About Bruno," easily the most viral song from the movie, became the highest-charting Disney song since 1995 after reaching No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The track outperformed 2013's Frozen and its massive hit "Let It Go," which topped out at No. 5 on the chart.

Nicole Kidman Says She and ‘Sister' Sandra Bullock ‘Tease' Each Other on the 'Practical Magic 2' Set (Exclusive)

'We're just having the best time together,' Kidman tells PEOPLE of teaming up with Bullock again, 27 years after the original movieNEED TO KNOW Nicole Kidman revealed in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE that she and Sandra Bullock 'tease' each other on the set of Practical Magic 2 Kidman said they share a close bond and are 'like sisters' Kidman and Bullock are reprising their roles as witches Gillian and Sally Owens in the sequel to the 1998 classicNicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock don't need to stretch their acting skills on the set of Practical Magic 2. The two stars are reprising their roles as witch sisters Gillian and Sally Owens in the long-awaited sequel to the 1998 classic. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Kidman — who was recently named a global ambassador for Clé de Peau Beauté — revealed that she and Bullock, 61, have such a close bond that they are "like sisters." "It's insane," she says of their dynamic. And as all siblings do, the actresses enjoy poking fun at each other. "I can tease her, and she teases me," Kidman, 58, explains, noting, "We're both living in London, very close to each other." She says the pair can hardly believe they are back in the Practical Magic world again after 27 years. "We're both like, 'What?' But we were just right back into it," she explains, adding of Bullock, "I adore her and she is so funny and so lovable. And we're just having the best time together." Kidman also had high praise for others involved in the making of the sequel. "We have this wonderful female director, Susanne Bier. Warner Bros. is behind the film. And they've been incredibly supportive in making this, going back and then expanding it," she tells PEOPLE. "And then we have beautiful Joey King, who I've worked with before and who's just lovely," she continues. "So it's a group of amazing, amazing women and some great men who are creating the next phase, the next stage of the witches' life." Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest are set to reprise their roles as the Owens sisters' aunts, Franny and Jet, respectively. Along with King, new additions to the cast include Lee Pace, Maisie Williams, Xolo Maridueña and Solly McLeod. While details about the sequel's plot are being kept under wraps, the 1998 film — based on Alice Hoffman's 1995 book of the same name — follows the Owens sisters, who must use their witchy magic to fight off a curse that kills the men they fall in love with. 'Twenty-five years ago, Sally, Gillian, Aunt Jet and Aunt Franny flew off the pages of Alice Hoffman's beloved novel and into theaters around the world, and we are thrilled to bring the Owens family back to the big screen with Joey, Lee, Maisie, Solly and Xolo joining the next chapter in our story," the filmmaking team behind Practical Magic 2 said in a statement via a press release. "The enduring affection for these characters has been our inspiration to deliver the next installment in the Owens' story to new fans, and those who've been with us since the beginning," they added. Last month, Kidman treated fans to a behind-the-scenes glimpse of her and Bullock's first day on set for the new movie, which is set to be released in theaters on Sept. 18, 2026. She shared a video on Instagram of the pair in character, hugging each other tightly while standing in what appeared to be a cemetery. "The witches are back ✨. Owens sisters' first day on set! #PracticalMagic," she captioned the clip. In 2019, Today resurfaced a clip of Bullock discussing the original movie with Katie Couric and reflecting on her on-set relationship with Kidman. 'I had such a great time,' the Bird Box star said. 'And the fact is, we don't have anything in common, except for at the dinner table with a bottle of wine, and everything sort of blends together.' Practical Magic 2 is scheduled for a theatrical release on Sept. 18, 2026. Read the original article on People

Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau Sparked ‘Instant Connection,' Source Says: 'They Have a Lot in Common' (Exclusive)

The rumored new couple stepped out together in Montréal recently, and a source tells PEOPLE they're "interested in each other"NEED TO KNOW Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry sparked romance rumors in recent days by spending time together in Montréal The pair shared dinner together on Monday, July 28, and the former Canadian prime minister attended Perry's Lifetimes Tour two days later Sources tell PEOPLE that their circumstances give then an "instant connection," but any relationship between them is in the "early stages"Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry sparked romance rumors this week with multiple outings in Montréal, and sources tell PEOPLE that something could be blossoming between the two. One Canadian source says the pair shared an attraction when they met a few months ago, and now they are both available following Perry's recent split from Orlando Bloom. However, the source adds that exploring their connection could have roadblocks given their busy personal and professional lives. "They are interested in each other, but it will take a while to see where this goes,' the source says. 'She is traveling around the world, and he is figuring out his life now that he is no longer prime minister of Canada, but there is an attraction. They have a lot in common.' 'Music is one of many things they can share,' the source adds, with optimism being another. "Both are idealists and still live in a world where they think they can make improvements, although it has gotten more difficult.' Trudeau, 53, split from wife Sophie Grégoire in 2023 after 18 years of marriage. They share three teenage children. Meanwhile, Perry, 40, confirmed the end of her engagement with Bloom in early July, after they welcomed daughter Daisy in 2020. 'Their own personal responsibilities could make this relationship move slower than it would, but there are ways to see the other and still fulfill their parenting responsibilities,' the source says. 'For one thing, they each have an ex. So, duties are split in half. And long-distance relationships, while still hard, are possible for these two.' On Monday, Perry and Trudeau were photographed walking a dog through Montréal's Mount Royal Park before enjoying a meal at local restaurant Le Violon. The duo met with Chef Danny Smiles during dinner and headed to the kitchen after their meal to thank the staff. According to TMZ, Perry and Trudeau enjoyed cocktails and several dishes, though they weren't seen indulging in any PDA. 'Justin is a [politician] who is used to living a secret life with his personal activity, and wouldn't put on a public display at this stage,' another Canadian source tells PEOPLE. "He knows they were being watched and is smart enough to play it low-key for now.' '[The] timing seems good for them, although a romance is in very early stages,' the source adds. Then, on Wednesday, July 30, Trudeau was spotted in the crowd at Perry's sold-out Lifetimes Tour at Montréal's Bell Centre. The former prime minister was seen in the crowd wearing a casual black T-shirt as he smiled while watching the singer's performance, even singing along to some of her hits. Sofia Carson Writes Her Own Hollywood Story

It's already her third movie in less than a year, but Sofia Carson is just as enthusiastic as ever. 'It's going on 10 years of me doing this, which is unbelievable,' Carson says, from the lobby of the New York Edition Hotel. 'And it always feels like the very first time in the best way. I always feel so genuinely excited and grateful, and I feel butterflies anytime I get to see my work on Times Square. It's all so surreal.' More from WWD Luciane Buchanan Brings Hawaiian History to Life in Apple TV+'s 'Chief of War' Logan Lerman on 'Oh, Hi,' Complex Characters, and Chasing Fresh Challenges The Costumes of 'The Gilded Age' Are a Part of Real Life History The 32-year-old broke out in the 2015 Disney Channel movie musical 'Descendants,' before going on to star in a series of movies for Netflix, including 'Feel the Beat,' 'Purple Hearts,' 'Carry On,' 'The Life Life,' and, out Friday, 'My Oxford Year.' She's also been a producer on several of those, positioning her as a new kind of breakout movie star (with a loyal fanbase — over 20 million followers on Instagram — following closely along). 'My mom refers to these moments in my career as catching lightning in a bottle,' Carson says. ''Descendants' was that first. And then 'Purple Hearts' was the second time that that happened. 'Purple Hearts' changed my life yet again. And because I produced 'Purple Hearts' and wrote the soundtrack for that, I think executives in the business saw me through a very different lens, not only as an actor and storyteller, but as a filmmaker and a decision maker, which as a woman in the industry, is a really privileged and exciting place to be in,' Carson says. 'And I don't take that for granted, and it's still surreal to me, but my opinion is respected in that way. So it's been a really beautiful few years, a very validating few years.' After 'Purple Hearts,' which tells the story of a struggling musician who marries a soldier for health insurance, became an overnight sensation for Netflix when it was released in 2022, Carson found herself in demand for meetings. In that time she met with Marty Bowen of Temple Hill, the producer behind the 'Twilight' movies and 'The Fault in Our Stars,' who presented her with the script for 'My Oxford Year.' 'It's just so beautiful and so powerful, and it also felt like a classic, and that's something I've always gravitated towards in my career,' she says of the movie. 'I loved the idea of being able to bring to life a classic love story.' 'My Oxford Year' sees Carson as an ambitious American grad student, Anna, who travels to Oxford University for a year-long program, where she meets a charming teaching assistant named Jamie (Corey Mylchreest), who has more to his story than he initially lets on. 'This is probably the truest love story that I've told,' Carson says. 'I was very drawn to Anna's character. She lives life in her understanding of living deliberately, which is planning every second of life, which is very much how I've lived my life. In falling in love with Jamie and losing him, I think she learns one of the greatest lessons that any of us can learn. And that is that life is lived in moments and that all we have is a succession of moments, and living deliberately doesn't mean planning every moment, but living them and living in the messiness of them. And it felt like such a necessary reminder for me and for anyone that watches this film.' Carson's ability to produce a hitmaker became clear to Netflix after her second film for them, last year's 'Carry On,' became their second most-watched film of all time. 'I think that's when it really clicked for everyone, that we have something special going on here. This partnership is really resonating with people in a really unbelievable way,' Carson says. As for where she goes from here? 'It has been an interesting few months navigating the question of what is next and personally navigating the pressures that I feel,' Carson says. 'Of course, it's an extraordinarily beautiful place to be in, to come off of so many successes, but it definitely puts a certain amount of pressure on me. But it's that reminder of not ever changing what my decision-making factor is, which is 'this project aligned with who I am? Am I proud of the art that I'm making?' And if the answer is 'yes,' then that's what I want to put out into the world.' In that vein, she's been back working on music, her first love, and is in development on multiple upcoming projects both as an actor and a producer. 'I was very lucky in that I don't remember a moment in my life when I didn't know that I wanted to do this for the rest of my life,' Carson says. 'It started with music and storytelling through music, but in my mind [acting and music] are so deeply connected because when you see videos of me when I was 3 and I was singing 'Evita,' I was performing that song and I was telling that story. So it just always was who I was rather than what I did.'
