Pamela Anderson relished singing in The Naked Gun
The 58-year-old actress plays Beth Davenport in the new comedy movie, and Pamela has revealed that she loved singing with a jazz band in one particular scene.
The Hollywood star - who appears alongside Liam Neeson in the new movie - told People: "I was the scat soloist in eighth grade. I love jazz. I play saxophone, and I have scatted a few times.
"So when I read that in the script I decided it was meant to be. Who else could do this? I think that's how I [decided], 'Maybe I can do this role.'"
Pamela still has fond memories of shooting the scene.
She said: "I love to scat. It was scripted, it wasn't just impromptu. And I still can't get it out of my head. I still can remember the entire thing, singing the jazz."
Earlier this month, meanwhile, Pamela observed that all actors need to show "courage" in their careers.
The movie star actually feels she performs at her best whenever she's "terrified", like when she sang in The Naked Gun.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Pamela explained: "You have to have courage. You have to have courage to be an actor at all. But that's my happy place is when I'm terrified.
"I actually really enjoy singing. I love being on stage … The feeling is so rewarding because I feel like we repress so much of ourselves, and especially as an artist, and I love to write and journal and write poetry, but performing and working on a movie is another way to express yourself because everything is loaded."
Pamela revealed that she actually leaned on her own life experiences for her Naked Gun performance.
The actress - who rose to international stardom by playing 'C.J.' Parker in Baywatch in the 90s - said: "All the words to that song, I'm thinking of personal experiences in my life, and so I'm able to get it out even in a crazy scene like that. So it's not just spitting out the words, it's performing some of your innermost thoughts."

She said: "If you could find a dance class, Pilates class, a yoga class, a cycling class, whatever class that you like that can happen at the top of your day before you go to work, it will do wonders. The consistency of that will do wonders. And then I'll say, make your own food. I know, I know it's a lot. Nobody wants to do the meal prep s***, but making your own food and knowing what you put in it, it does wonders. "Making your own meals, keeping it consistent with some type of activity. It really does transform your body. And then fun stuff. Sometimes we forget that everything don't have to be a serious workout. What if I just go play tennis or pickleball with my girl? What if we just go swimming for a day? You know what I'm saying?"

‘Disturbing': Mrs Doubtfire star's wild plan to revive Robin Williams with AI despite daughter
It's been 32 years since Mrs Doubtfire graced our screens. Now, the actor who played Chris Hillard wishes to resurrect his late co-star, the legendary Robin Williams, in a very 2025 way. Matthew Lawrence wants Williams to be the trusty voice reading out the weather on our smart speakers. He told Entertainment Weekly that the actor should be the next 'voice of AI.' 'I would love — now, obviously, with the respect and with the okay from his family — but I would love to do something really special with his voice because I know for a generation, that voice is just so iconic.' 'It's not just the fact that I knew him and worked with him, and so it's in my head — it's in everybody's head. And it would be so cool.' The idea came to Lawrence after watching one of Williams' old commercials. The actor, who died by suicide in 2014 at age 63, had done a computerised voiceover that Lawrence found eerily ahead of its time. 'It's kinda like this very contemporary, modern, almost sort of foreshadowing of what's going on commercial that he did, where he did this computerised voiceover,' he explains. 'And it always stuck with me. And then, during his passing, with the AI coming out, I'm like, 'Man, he's gotta be the voice of A.I. He's gotta be the voice in something.' So yeah, I would love to do that.' There's no denying Williams' voice is instantly recognisable. Hearing it again would likely spark nostalgia and joy for many. Still, using AI in a project like this raises serious concerns. Lawrence, clearly enthusiastic, suggested plenty of possibilities for Robin's voice in tech — even using it for driving navigation. 'It would be Robin!' Lawrence happily stated. 'It would be so cool. I'm telling you.' Yelling at Siri or Alexa when you miss a turn is normal these days. But yelling at the voice of Robin Williams might come with some follow-up guilt. William's daughter, Zelda Williams, has publicly slammed AI recreations of her father. During the SAG-AFTRA strike in October 2023, she posted a statement on social media expressing her discomfort with the technology. 'I am not an impartial voice in SAG's fight against AI,' Zelda, 35, wrote. 'I've witnessed for YEARS how many people want to train these models to create/recreate actors who cannot consent, like Dad.' 'I've already heard AI used to get his 'voice' to say whatever people want and while I find it personally disturbing, the ramifications go far beyond my own feelings,' she continued. 'Living actors deserve a chance to create characters with their choices, to voice cartoons, to put their HUMAN effort and time into the pursuit of performance.' Lawrence was just a pre-teen when he played Williams' son in 1993's Mrs. Doubtfire, and their relationship clearly made a lasting impression. At the first annual '90s Con in 2022, Lawrence shared how Williams — who struggled with substance abuse — warned him about the dangers of drugs during filming. '[Williams] was very serious. He was like, 'You know when you come to my trailer and you see me like that?'' Lawrence shared. 'He's like, 'That's the reason why. And now I'm fighting for the rest of my life because I spent 10 years doing something very stupid every day. Do not do it.' I stayed away from it because of him.' In an earlier interview with Entertainment Weekly, Lawrence reflected on two key lessons Williams taught him: the importance of compassion, and not judging others without walking in their shoes. 'He really quantified what it was to be a real artist for me in the sense that he was definitely,' Lawrence said, 'and I worked with some great people, and he was definitely the most brilliant artist I've ever worked with.'

The Hills alum Lo Bosworth in double joy as she gets married and pregnant
Lo Bosworth is married and expecting her first child with Dom Natale. The Hills alum has revealed the couple tied the knot at her family's home in Laguna Beach, California on July 20, while they are also due to become parents in January. Sharing pictures from their special day on Instagram on Monday (28.07.25), Lo penned: "We said yes with joy. And life, with its most tender timing, said yes right back." The 38-year-old actress admitted the couple considered a lavish "New York City wedding", but when she started trying for a baby, they felt it was best to plan an "intimate" ceremony. The Laguna Beach star moved away from reality television in 2010 to lead a private life. Speaking on Bethenny Frankel's Just B podcast, she previously reflected on having her life play out on screen: "I served a very specific role, which I'm actually grateful for in hindsight. I didn't have to get into it too much. "But in the areas where I did, it still kind of haunts me to this day, because there's so many stories behind this story everybody saw on television that run very counter to what the public thinks of you." She now runs the Love Wellness brand, which she founded in 2016.
