The fast casual burrito behemoth on Tuesday announced a new loyalty program geared toward Gen Z students and a merchandise line in collaboration with Urban Outfitters.
The loyalty program, Chipotle U, allows students to earn points with each purchase. These points can be redeemed for free food or use to waive the guacamole surcharge.
The product collection, which features a lamp shaped like a chip bag, bean bag chairs, and a foil throw blanket, goes on sale on Wednesday at select Urban Outfitters in university towns and online at the retailer's website.

The Chipotle-themed items include a $16 water tumbler and $59 lamp shaped like a chip bag
"Urban Outfitters is Gen Z 's destination for their next favorite find, and Chipotle is an iconic part of campus life, so teaming up was a natural fit," said Cyntia Leo, head of brand marketing at Urban Outfitters, said in a statement about the drop.
The collab includes a $99 burrito blanket for any student who's ever wanted to resemble the food they stress-eat during finals season

The dorm room decor has the Chipotle superfan in mind, and the new loyalty program will aim to reward them further: offering limited-time promotions during finals, game days, and free food during graduation giveaways.
Bean bag chairs — available in black or pinto colors — will run $299 each
"Chipotle has long been a go-to destination for students' celebratory meals, and now members will be given special offers that tie to specific milestones throughout their college journey," Curt Garner, Chipotle's president, chief strategy and technology officer, said in a statement about the rewards program launch.

More than half of six-figure earners no longer feel financially successful—and they revealed that they'd need a sky-high salary of $500,000 to feel comfortable in today's economy. Just 20 years ago, those making $170,000 were considered upper-class. But today, even top earners are anxious about rising prices and feeling the pressure to keep up lifestyles that their salaries can't support anymore. It wasn't too long ago when earning six figures felt like achieving the American Dream: luxury sports cars parked in front of mansions, fridges stocked with food, and enough money in the bank to feel secure. But now even top earners are feeling the pinch in a cost-of-living crisis, and sparkly $100,000 salaries have lost their shine. Nearly 60% of six-figure earners no longer feel financially successful, according to a recent report from Clarify Capital. Women were slightly more likely than men to answer this way at that income level, with 60% saying they don't feel like they're thriving monetarily compared to 56% of their male counterparts. And now, for these high-paid professionals to feel comfortable with their finances, they have to bring in a staggering $500,000—the most common figure chosen by 24% of six-figure earners. Unfortunately, these sky-high salaries are not easy to come by. Only one in 127 jobs in the U.S. pays $500,000 or more, representing about 0.8% of roles, according to an analysis from ADP. The surging cost of living is driving financial unease across the board; about 85% of six-figure earners said they feel stressed and anxious due to rising prices, according to the Clarify Capital report. And highly curated, idealized luxury lifestyles flaunted on social media aren't helping the situation. Many top earners report feeling lifestyle envy and pressure to keep up, with Gen Z (79%) and women (63%) being the most likely to be impacted. 'In today's economy, income alone doesn't guarantee financial peace of mind. High earners are feeling squeezed by inflation, stressed by social pressure, and more mindful about what it really means to be well-off,' the Clarify Capital report notes. 'As spending habits shift and priorities change, one thing is clear: real wealth is about security, not just status.' The financial comfort dilemma: rising food and rent costs, inflation anxiety, and devalued assets Just 20 years ago, what it meant to be 'rich' doesn't even come close to the salary that six-figure earners need today to simply feel comfortable. In 2005, the income needed to be classed as upper class was $169,800 annually, according to Bureau of Labor Statistics data analyzed by the Nasdaq—a staggering $330,000 less than what top-earners say they need today to feel financially settled amid raging living costs. Food prices are so high that seven in 10 six-figure earners are now being forced to shop at discount grocery stores to save on daily essentials, according to the Clarify Capital report. And housing is a whole other issue; rent is up more than 25% since 2020, rising fastest for lower-priced homes, according to the Consumer Price Index. Living has become so costly that nearly a quarter of Americans said they're actively worried that the state of their finances could lead to homelessness, according to a 2024 report from Acorns. And young people are feeling the strain in particular—about a third of Gen Z and millennials expressed the concern, compared to just 11% of boomers. 'The everyday American is facing a deluge of bad financial news, from persistent increases in inflation to cost of living, all against a backdrop of global war and turmoil,' Noah Kerner, CEO of Acorns, wrote in the report. But even older Americans, with a lifetime of savings at their disposal, aren't sitting pretty in the current U.S. economy. About 92% of retirees said they are worried about inflation lessening the value of their assets—the top concern listed—and an increase from 89% in 2024, according to a 2025 study from Schroders. Around 45% of these older respondents also report that their living expenses in retirement are higher than what they anticipated. Millions of Brits are sticking with current accounts that give them next to no perks - even when changing banks could put hundreds in their pocket. A new study found 40 per cent of people had never switched provider, despite 58 per cent feeling let down when incentives were cut, reports Santander has closed its 123 Lite account, moving clients to Everyday, which has fewer rewards. The research was carried out by Zopa Bank, which claimed its new Biscuit account provided four times the value of Everyday with customers able to earn £256-a-year through cashback and interest. Merve Ferrero, Zopa's chief strategy officer, said: "We know over a third of UK consumers stick with their bank out of habit, even when their loyalty goes unrewarded. "At Zopa, we want to change that. "With Biscuit, we've launched the UK's best free current account for everyday value - combining the peace of mind of a fully regulated bank with the ease and value customers expect from a modern digital experience. "Whether it's cashback on bills, interest on savings, or effortless money management in one place, Biscuit makes everyday banking better." The survey also reveals a clear generational divide in banking behaviour. While older customers are more likely to stay loyal even when perks disappear, 23 per cent of Gen Z plan to shop around, compared with just 16 per cent of 45 to 55-year-olds. Gen Z are also turning to new sources for money advice with 42 per cent consulting AI and social platforms like ChatGPT, TikTok, and Reddit, compared with 30 per cent of millennials. Unsurprisingly, spending priorities for a £256 windfall differ with millennials favouring football tickets (22 per cent), Ninja gadgets (15 per cent) or a Sky Sports/TNT subscription (11 per cent). Gen Z's shopping list also includes football tickets (13 per cent) alongside Oasis tickets (ten per cent) and Dubai-style chocolate (ten per cent). Zopa, launched in 2020, has attracted 1.5 million customers and won multiple banking awards.
