What are Apple Music's top streamed songs of the past decade?
It's... hardly surprising and not particularly inspiring.
Ed Sheeran, The Weeknd and Drake make up the top 3 spots, with Sheeran's 2017 hit 'Shape of You' being the most-streamed track.
As the No. 1 most-played song globally, 'Shape of You' had more than 1,000 days where the song reached No. 1 on the all-genre Top Songs chart in at least one country.
Sheeran has 11 entries in the top 500.
At the second spot is The Weeknd's 'Blinding Lights', which spent more than 180 days in the top 10 of the Global Daily Top 100.
Behind him is lawsuit-happy Drake with 'God's Plan', which was streamed more than any other hip-hop song in Apple Music history.
The Top 10 goes like this:
Ed Sheeran – Shape of You
The Weeknd – Blinding Lights
Drake – God's Plan
Post Malone – Sunflower
Post Malone – rockstar (feat. 21 Savage)
Drake – One Dance (feat. Wizkid & Kyla)
Travis Scott – SICKO MODE
Ed Sheeran – Perfect
Chris Brown – No Guidance (feat. Drake)
Billie Eilish – bad guy
Billie Eilish stands as the first solo female artist to chart in the Top 500 and has the most alternative songs with nine.
Surprisingly, Taylor Swift first appears at No. 57 with 'Cruel Summer'. However, she stands as the No. 2 artist by number of songs (14 entries) - behind Drake, who has more entries than any other artist with 27 songs.
Unsurprisingly, BTS has the most K-pop entries in the Top 500, while Japanese duo Yoasobi is the J-pop act with the most tracks on list.
Meanwhile, the oldest song on the chart is Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody' at No. 156.
To further celebrate their 10 years and Sheeran's dominance, Apple shared an interview with the British artist talking about the creation and impact of 'Shape of You'.
'No one can take away the song,' Sheeran reflected to Zane Lowe. 'I'll be able to play it forever… I'm just grateful that I have songs like that, that you could be anywhere in the world and someone gives you a guitar and you can make someone happy with it.'

BTS agency HYBE raided over alleged fraud trading
"We are conducting a search and seizure at HYBE's headquarters in Yongsan District," Seoul police said in a brief statement. Bang, the mastermind behind BTS, is under investigation over allegations that he misled early investors to reap illicit profits from the company's 2020 initial public offering. He is accused of gaining around 200 billion won (US$146 million) through the process, according to local reports. HYBE has denied Bang committed any wrongdoing. "We will dutifully clarify that the listing at the time was carried out in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations," the company said in early July, pledging "active cooperation" with authorities to get to the bottom of the case. Bang allegedly misled HYBE's early investors, who held pre-IPO shares, by telling them in 2019 he had no plans to take the company public. He then allegedly encouraged them to sell their shares to private equity funds when in fact IPO plan was in the making. HYBE went public in 2020, after the shareholders sold their stakes. The 52-year-old is accused of secretly striking a deal with the private equity funds to receive a portion of the profits they made from selling shares after the IPO. 2026 comeback The investigation comes as all seven BTS members complete their mandatory military service and prepare for a comeback next year. HYBE announced this month that a new album and world tour were scheduled for 2026. BTS, known for championing progressive causes, holds the record as the most-streamed group on Spotify and became the first K-pop act to top both the Billboard 200 and Billboard Artist 100 charts in the United States. Before their military service, BTS generated more than 5.5 trillion won ($4 billion) in yearly economic impact, according to the Korea Culture and Tourism Institute. That accounts for roughly 0.2 percent of South Korea's total GDP, according to official data. There had been debate over whether BTS should be granted exemptions from military service -- sometimes granted to Olympic medallists and classical artists who win top international awards -- but pop stars do not qualify under South Korean laws. With the lack of public consensus on the matter, the members enlisted individually, beginning in late 2022.

Ed Sheeran exhibits original paintings to raise money for foundation
British singer songwriter Ed Sheeran has launched a new series of original paintings and prints titled 'Cosmic Carpark Paintings'. The artworks will exhibited at the HENI Gallery in London from Thursday 10 July and sales will benefit the Ed Sheeran Foundation - an initiative providing inclusive, high-quality music education for every child. The foundation has already supported 18 grassroots music education organisations and state school music departments, impacting over 12,000 children and young people. Sheeran has been painting since 2019 after his record-breaking Divide Tour ended. He even used one of his early creations as the official artwork for his single 'Afterglow'. Inspired by celestial patterns, the Jackson Pollock-esque splash painting style in Sheeran's creations were showcased in a collection in a disused car park in London last year. Damien Hirst even encouraged the musician to put on his own exhibition – the two agreeing that the project would be an interesting way of showing how art can give back to the arts. Une publication partagée par Ed Sheeran (@teddysphotos) Sheeran wrote on Instagram: 'So last year in between shows I was doing these paintings. I love painting, more for fun and to give to friends, but this time I was encouraged to do a show of them by @damienhirst and @heni . I paint when I'm not working on a record, just to do something creative with my brain. And it's mostly just splashing colours on canvases, think Jackson Pollock but with colourful house paint.' He continued: 'I am by no means 'an artist', but I do love making art, it makes me feel great, and I love the end result. The show is gonna run from 10th July to 1st August at the heni gallery in soho. The paintings are for sale if anyone fancies it, and my proceeds from them will all go into the @edsheeranfnd so art will fund art. I like the idea of that. There's also prints and other merch available, all quite fun. If you happen to be in soho over the next month pop in. The opening preview of Cosmic Carpark Paintings is this Thursday 10th July from 2pm-8pm. Enjoy!' The paintings will be exhibited at the HENI Gallery in London between 10 July and 1 August 2025. Admission to the 'Cosmic Carpark Paintings' exhibition is free. Elsewhere, Sheeran's 2017 hit 'Shape of You' was announced by Apple Music as the most-streamed song on the platform of the past decade. Apple shared an interview with the singer talking about the creation and impact of 'Shape of You'. 'No one can take away the song,' Sheeran reflected to Zane Lowe. 'I'll be able to play it forever… I'm just grateful that I have songs like that, that you could be anywhere in the world and someone gives you a guitar and you can make someone happy with it.'
