War 2: Jr NTR Entry Scene Details Out, Actor To Feature In Dance Number With Hrithik Roshan
Last Updated: Producer Naga Vamsi confirms Jr NTR plays a full-length role in War 2 alongside Hrithik Roshan. The action film hits screens on August 14, 2025. Ever since Jr NTR was confirmed to star in War 2, excitement around his role in Yash Raj Films' expanding spy universe has been sky-high. But as buzz around the teaser grew, so did speculation — especially about how much screen time the RRR star would actually get. Now, producer Naga Vamsi has put those rumours to rest. Speaking with Gulte Pro, Vamsi denied reports that Jr NTR would appear for just a portion of the film. 'NTR being there for 30-40 minutes is not true," he said. 'Both of them will be there throughout the film. After the first 15 minutes, Tarak anna will enter, and both of them will dance to a song. It is a commercially packed film." Backing his words with action, Vamsi's Sitara Entertainments has reportedly picked up the Telugu distribution rights for War 2 at a massive Rs 80 crore. On his decision, he added, 'I bought it because all these commercial elements will be there. How everything will come together, even I will watch it with the audience in the morning show. Based on my faith in NTR's judgement, I bought the film." Meanwhile, War 2 has officially wrapped its shoot. The film, directed by Ayan Mukerji, stars Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR in key roles, with Kiara Advani also part of the main cast. Shot across five countries, the movie features six large-scale action set pieces and is set to release in theatres on August 14, 2025, in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. The movie is the sequel to the 2019 action thriller, War and marks the return of Hrithik as Agent Kabir. This time, he is fighting another Indian agent, Vikram (played by Jr NTR), who is the new addition to the franchise. With just a month left for its release, the makers are now all set to unveil the film's official trailer. According to the insiders close to the project, Ayan and YRF have finalised the trailer for this action-packed thriller and plan to release it by mid-next week. 'YRF is lauded for designing trailers that evoke enthusiasm among viewers, and the cut of War 2 is locked with the purpose of generating buzz and intrigue to new heights. The theatrical trailer showcases three leads—Hrithik Roshan, NTR, and Kiara Advani—at their finest, and the team is confident that with an approximately 3-minute cut, it will leave an impression," said a source to Pinkvilla. view comments First Published: July 16, 2025, 09:24 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. This Top Actress Banned From Driving For 6 Months After Speeding Violation
Last Updated: The actress has been banned from driving for six months after a 2024 speeding offense in Oxford. She did not attend the court hearing. Emma Watson has been banned from driving for six months following a speeding violation that took place in 2024. The Harry Potter star was caught on camera driving at 38 mph in a 30 mph zone in Oxford, England. The court ruling came nearly a year after the incident, with a magistrate officially suspending her licence on Wednesday. Watson already had nine penalty points on her driving record prior to the latest offense, leading to the automatic six-month driving ban. The 35-year-old actress-turned-student was also ordered to pay a total of £1,044 in fines and costs by the High Wycombe Magistrates' Court. Although Watson did not appear in person for the brief five-minute hearing, her lawyer Mark Haslam was present and confirmed that the actress had the means to pay the fine. 'She is in a position to pay the fine," he told the court. Haslam also shared that Watson is currently pursuing a master's degree in creative writing at the University of Oxford, a program she began in 2023. Emma Watson rose to fame in 2001 as Hermione Granger in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, and went on to star in all eight films of the beloved franchise. After Harry Potter, she appeared in several major Hollywood productions including The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Bling Ring, and Disney's live-action Beauty and the Beast. Her most recent acting credit was in Greta Gerwig's 2019 adaptation of Little Women. Outside of acting, Watson has become an advocate for sustainability and gender equality. In 2023, she co-launched a sustainable gin brand with her brother. Despite stepping back from acting, she continues to remain in the public eye through her activism, academic pursuits, and entrepreneurial efforts. Meanwhile, a new television adaptation of Harry Potter is currently in production at HBO, with a fresh cast led by Dominic McLaughlin as Harry, Arabella Stanton as Hermione, and Alastair Stout as Ron. The series is expected to unfold over a decade, reimagining J.K. Rowling's world for a new generation. view comments First Published: July 16, 2025, 23:42 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
