Kaizer Chiefs target pictured in club tracksuit after agreeing to join!
Kaizer Chiefs have received a huge boost in the pursuit of one of their top transfer targets for next season.
Chiefs are looking to add quality and depth to their squad as they prepare to compete on the continent next campaign.
Last season was yet another one to forget for Chiefs, as they saw themselves finishing outside top eight. This was for the second season in a row, and only the third in their history. The only saving grace they had this time around was their Nedbank Cup trophy triumph. That win was not only their first trophy in 10 years, but a gateway into the CAF Confederation Cup next season. That will mean more games and more travelling rigours for the club.
In order to combat that, while remaining competitive on the local front, Chiefs management will have to step up. This in the way of backing coach Nasreddine Nabi with a squad filled with quality in strength and depth. One of the targets he has been rumoured to desperately want is Feisal Salum. Amakhosi were rumoured to have been subjects of a bid to Azam FC for services in January.
That bid was rejected but it is now reported that Azam are more receptive to selling Salum this window. Now according to FARPost, Chiefs coach Nabi has convinced the talented midfielder his project. It is believed that he is now ready to reject Simba SC to join Amakhosi!
Salum is ironically in the country, but not for Chiefs or at least not just yet. He will be part of the Tanzania national team that takes on Bafana Bafana and plays the COSAFA Cup. While he isn't here for a move to Amakhosi, that hasn't stopped him from donning the club tracksuit top. Furthermore, he even threw up the famous peace sign synonymous with the club. Check it out!

Kaizer Chiefs transfer news: Two wingers
Kaizer Chiefs have been linked with Bafana Bafana midfielders Elias Mokwana, who plays for Esperance in Tunisian, and Polokwane City's Oswin Appollis. While last week's biggest reports claimed Amakhosi have tabled an offer to sign Mokwana from Esperance, this new update says otherwise. According to Soccer Laduma, the Kaizer Chiefs are not working on a deal to sign Mokwana. Instead, the club is edging closer to signing Appollis. Images: @kaizerchiefs/X Spotted: Sundowns' squad for the FIFA Club World Cup 'Chiefs are not interested in Elias Mokwana. If it was last season maybe it could have been true but not at the moment. Yes, the team is looking at beefing up the squad but it's obviously not Elias Mokwana. That's not true,' a source told Soccer Laduma . 'If you were talking about Appollis I could have agreed with you. It's an open secret that Chiefs are interested in him. The negotiations are believed to be at an advanced stage as there are a few logistics they are working on but not Elias Mokwana,' another source said. The outlet also got in touch with Mokwana's representatives, Cream Sports, who said: 'It's not true. Elias Mokwana is not joining Kaizer Chiefs. There is nothing like that. I think people are having wishes, and it's one of those disturbing stories. We have not received nor heard any word from Chiefs and I can tell you, Mokwana is still happy at Esperance.' Kaizer Chiefs target is the best in his country
No other player has been heavily linked with Kaizer Chiefs like Feisal Salum. The 27-year-old finally got to show Amakhosi what he can do. Salum was in action for Tanzania as the Taifa Stars faced Bafana Bafana in a goalless friendly international in Polokwane last week. According to his coach, Hemed Suleiman, the Kaizer Chiefs target has the technical flair and quality of South African players. 'You know, Feisal, I think he has the qualities of South African players. So, for me, he can play on any team,' Suleiman said in the post-match press conference in Polokwane. 'I believe he is the best midfielder in Tanzania at the moment. He is a good player and young. We need to support him. Given the fact that he is a good player, that gives him an advantage to be able to play anywhere,' Suleiman added in the Kaizer Chiefs marquee target. Brumbies join New Zealand heavyweights in Super Rugby semis
CANBERRA - A gutsy ACT Brumbies ensured Australia's presence in the Super Rugby semi-finals with a 35-28 takedown of the in-form Wellington Hurricanes, joining New Zealand heavyweights Auckland Blues, Waikato Chiefs and Canterbury Crusaders. The 'Canes arrived in frigid Canberra unbeaten in six games, but after a fast start they were bossed by the Brumbies' front-rowers who bagged four of their five tries. Their reward is a semi-final next week in Hamilton against the Chiefs, who suffered a last-gasp 20-19 defeat to the defending champion Blues. Despite losing, the Chiefs still advanced to the semis, and kept home advantage, as the highest-seeded loser under a revamped play-off system. The Blues travel to Christchurch to face the Crusaders, who opened the elimination round with a 32-12 win over the Queensland Reds on Friday. "It felt good to earn ourselves another week," said Brumbies skipper Allan Alaalatoa, who crossed for a try. "We knew it was probably going to take everything we had. I thought it was a much-improved effort from last time we played them." A fifth-minute try from fullback Ruben Love after a free-flowing move set the 'Canes on their way, but the Brumbies quickly struck back when hooker Billy Pollard finished off a patient trademark rolling maul. They exchanged converted tries again before Pollard put the home side in front for the first time on the cusp of half-time, again crashing over after a rolling maul for a 21-14 advantage. The hosts extended their lead six minutes after the break when Tom Wright combined with Wallabies teammate Rob Valetini to slice open the defence. A determined Hurricanes kept bouncing back, but a further converted Brumbies try from veteran prop James Slipper ultimately sealed the win.
