Ensure timely redressal of grievances
Citizens from various mandals across the district submitted petitions addressing a wide range of issues.
Alongside the Acting Collector, assistant collector Sachin Rahar, district revenue officer A Malola, forest settlement officer G Ramakrishna Reddy, special deputy collectors Tippenayak, Anand, Rammohan, Mallikarjunudu, and district agriculture Officer Umamaheswaramma were present to receive petitions. A total of 612 petitions were received during the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Collector Sharma directed officials to ensure qualitative and timely resolution of grievances. He emphasised that district-level officers from relevant departments must treat each grievance seriously, interact respectfully with petitioners, and ensure effective communication and resolution. He mentioned that monitoring is being done at the CMO (Chief Minister's Office) level, and each petition should be followed up with proper endorsements.
He instructed that all applications must be carefully reviewed and resolved with speed, impartiality, and within stipulated timelines, avoiding unnecessary delays or backlogs beyond SLA (Service Level Agreement). Field-level inquiries should be conducted at the mandal level, and petitioners must be given proper receipts and timely feedback on the status of their grievances. Every complaint must be endorsed, and officials must prevent situations where complaints go unacknowledged.
The Collector further advised revenue divisional officers, municipal commissioners, tahsildars and MPDOs to focus on petitions under their jurisdiction and resolve them quickly. He also called for swift response to issues routed through the CMO, MPs, MLCs and MLAs.
In addition to PGRS, he urged for acceleration of land acquisition, revenue services and resurvey work across villages. Pending tasks under P-4 guidelines must be fully reported and addressed promptly.
District revenue officer Malola, during the meeting, highlighted the need for vigilance during the monsoon season to prevent the spread of seasonal diseases. She called on officials from departments such as Municipal Administration, RWS, Panchayat Raj, Medical & Health, Revenue, Police, Disaster Management, and Electricity to take proactive preventive measures.
Officials were instructed to prevent leakages in pipelines, ensure water purity, avoid stagnation, and maintain hygiene by using chlorine, bleaching powder and regular spraying in sensitive areas.
Several senior officials attended the programme, including: ZP CEO Shiva Shankar, CPO Ashok Kumar, DPO Nagaraju Naidu, DRDA PD Shailaja, DMHO Dr E B Devi, District Sainik Welfare Officer P Thimmappa, RWS SE Suresh, Housing PD Shailaja, DTC Veerraju, DMWO Ramasubbareddy, Survey AD Rupal Nayak, Section Superintendents Yugeshwari Devi, Vasanthalatha, Riazuddin,PGRS tahsildar Vanishree, Mandal, district and constituency-level officials from various departments.

Ensure timely completion of 5,000 MW solar agri-feeder scheme by Sep 2025: Fadnavis
Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday called the state government's 5,000 MW solar agriculture feeder scheme as his "dream project", and said its success will significantly contribute to energy sustainability and rural empowerment. He directed the agencies to expedite the implementation of the ' Mukhyamantri Solar Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0 ', and ensure the state achieves its target of 5,000 MW solar power generation by September 2025. Speaking at a high-level review meeting, Fadnavis said, "This is my dream project. There should be no delays at any level. Time-bound and well-coordinated execution is critical." The meeting was convened to review land availability and other related issues in the scheme, a statement from the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) said. Stressing the need for close coordination between local bodies and developers for the smooth implementation of solar feeder projects on both government and private land, the chief minister said the district-level task forces must regularly monitor the progress of the project and remove bottlenecks. No Objection Certificates (NOCs) and clearances must be issued promptly. Issues faced by developers should be resolved on priority to avoid delays, he asked the officials. Work related to land leasing, removal of crop and permanent encroachments, road realignment, and land demarcation must be done promptly by the district collectors. Police must act swiftly in cases of theft of solar equipment. Adequate precautions must be taken while working in densely-populated areas and during tree cutting, following all environmental guidelines, he said. The forest department should expedite necessary permissions for solar lines passing through forest land and adjacent areas, he said. PTI

Central government approves Rs 615 crore special capital assistance to Uttarakhand, CM Dhami expresses happiness

In reaction to this, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed happiness over the approval of special central assistance and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this. The Chief Minister said that the state government is engaged with full readiness and commitment to fulfil the Prime Minister's vision of making this decade a decade of development of Uttarakhand. "Uttarakhand is getting full support from the Central Government in this direction," the CM said as per the CMO. As per the CMO, under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) scheme of the Central Government, the Uttarakhand government had demanded special assistance of Rs 619.42 crore for 37 schemes in the current financial year 2025-26. CM Dhami had effectively advocated these proposals before the Central Government and requested for early approval. Delhi CM approves amendments to allow women on night shifts
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has approved amendments to the Delhi Shops and Establishments Act, 1954, to allow women to work on night shifts in establishments. The file has been sent for Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena for his approval, a source at the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) said on Tuesday. On June 30, at a meeting chaired by the L-G and attended by the CM and other Ministers, directions were given to allow women to work at night shifts by amending the Act, according to the source. Currently, the law prohibits a woman from working between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. during summer and between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. during winter. 'To implement this decision [to allow women], exemptions are being made under the Act. The forthcoming amendment will remove the restrictions, thereby enabling women to work night shifts across the city,' a statement from the CMO said on Tuesday. Women safety However, to safeguard women working in night shifts, a comprehensive set of conditions will be mandatory for all establishments and a prior written consent of women employees will be required. 'Workplaces must have CCTV surveillance, female security guards, and secure transport facilities. Each establishment must also constitute an Internal Complaints Committee under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013. Furthermore, restrooms, toilets, lockers, and other basic amenities must be provided,' the statement said. The CM said the amendments to the Act would play a pivotal role in establishing Delhi as a 24x7 business hub. Similar laws to allow women to work in night shifts are already in place in States such as Haryana, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu, the statement said. The previous Aam Aadmi Party government had proposed the Delhi Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Rules in 2023 to allow women to work night shifts. However, the Delhi police objected to it, citing safety concerns, and it was never implemented, an official said.
