BBC Strictly Come Dancing 2025 celebrity line up rumours include a royal and WAG
Strictly Come Dancing will be back on our screens before we know it. The BBC have already revealed the lineup of professional dancers for the 23rd season.
Now speculation is mounting over which celebrities will be hot footing it onto the dance floor this year. Professional Dancers Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Amy Dowden, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk, Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Aljaž Škorjanec, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas and Vito Coppola will all take part once more - with two brand new professional dancers set to be announced in the upcoming weeks.
Additionally, all four judges - Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke - are set to return to the panel, along with hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.
After Dianne and comedian Chris McCausland won the hearts of the nation on last year's series, winning the coveted glitter ball trophy and taking home a BAFTA TV Award for Memorable Moment to boot, people are keen to see who will be in the spotlight this year.
Rumours have been stirring that several reality stars, an Olympic athlete and a member of the Royal Family will be taking part in the BBC dance competition.
Who are the rumoured celebrities?
Mo Farah
Sir Mo Farah is said to be in early talks to join the 2025 cast. The athlete, who is seen as a "genuine national treasure" by BBC bosses, is apparently a top choice due to his clean image and huge profile, which they think would help to draw in viewers and build trust after na raft of scandals last year.
According to The Sun, a source stated: "His personality would provide the perfect tonic to the toxicity that's overshadowed Strictly. Bosses would love to sign him up but the talks are at a very early stage."
Dani Dyer
Another star rumoured to join the show is Dani Dyer, after she shot to fame as the champion of Love Island 2018. Since leaving the show she has remained in the spotlight, and recently tied the knot with West Ham footballer Jarrod Bowen.
If Dani signs up for the series, viewers can expect to see her father, Danny Dyer, in the studio most weeks.
Tom Parker-Bowles
Tom Parker-Bowles is another star tipped for the show. The famous chef, whose mother is Queen Camilla Parker-Bowles, is a regular judge on BBC's Masterchef. The stepson of Kings Charles will be swapping his chef uniform for the sparkly dance floor outfits, if he signs up for the show.
Reports claim that Tom was "sounded out last year but never materialised" with show bosses now hoping they'll "have better luck this year".
Georgia Toffolo
Georgia Toffolo is no stranger to reality TV, having risen to fame on Made in Chelsea. Georgia appeared on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! in 2017, where she was crowned the queen of jungle.
Stacey Solomon
Social media personality Stacey Solomon is also rumoured to be joining the lineup.
Similar to Georgia, Stacey is no stranger to reality TV, having first appeared on our screens in 2009 when she was a contestant on The X Factor. Since then she has gone on to build a large following online, and has appeared in a raft of shows including as a long-running Loose Women panelist, as well as hosting BBC Sort Your Life Out.
Most recently the mum of five and her husband Joe Swash had success with BBC reality series Stacey & Joe. The couple let cameras into their home at Pickle Cottage, with their children and plenty of family pets.
Thomas Skinner
The Apprentice fan favourite Thomas Skinner, who earned Lord Sugar's respect during the 2019 series of the BBC show, could be hitting the Strictly dancefloor this year.
According to the Mail Online, Skinner - who's known for his catchphrase "bosh!" - is "up for giving the competition his best shot' even though he has "no dancing experience".
A source stated: "Strictly bosses are hoping he'll get the dads watching. He has a massive following, especially with working-class blokes."
Ashley Cain
Reality star Ashley Cain, best known for his appearances on the first two seasons of Ex on the Beach, is reportedly in the running for this year's Strictly. Cain has transitioned into presenting, fronting the BBC documentary Ashley Cain: Into the Danger Zone.
It's reported that his on-screen presence and hosting abilities have impressed Strictly producers, putting him in the running.

Gordon Ramsay shows true colours towards Adam Peaty after wedding revelation The celebrity chef has made his feelings clear on the Olympian, who is engaged to his daughter Holly Ramsay has made his feelings clear on his daughter Holly's relationship with Peaty Team GB star Adam Peaty was cheered on by his future father-in-law Gordon Ramsay as he completed a gruelling triathlon as part of the celebrity chef's family team on Sunday. The 30-year-old swimmer - who has three gold and three silver Olympic medals to his name - was competing in his first triathlon event but had plenty of support from the rest of 'Team Ramsay' as he took on the T100 Triathlon World Tour at the Royal Victoria Dock in London. Peaty is engaged to Ramsay's daughter Holly, with the couple set to tie the knot at the end of this year, and his fiancee was cheering him on at the event alongside his four-year-old son George. Taking part in the mammoth challenge alongside him, however, was his future mother-in-law Tana, as well as Ramsay's other daughters Megan and Tilly and his son Jack. Other celebrities taking party included McFly drummer Harry Judd and former racing driver turned presenter and Ironman Billy Monger. However, 58-year-old Ramsay was unable to take part himself due to having stitches on his cheek, so took up the role of cheerleader on doctor's advice. The gruelling event includes a 2km swim, 80km bike ride and 18km run, with a shattered Peaty crossing the line in 2:34:37 before a proud Ramsay wrapped his arm around him, beaming as the Olympian struggled to catch his breath. Article continues below Ramsay wrapped his arms around Peaty after he finished the triathlon He was also congratulated by Holly and George, who gave his dad a big kiss having held a sign that read: "I love you. Go Daddy". "Hardest thing I've ever done," Peaty said after the event, before adding that he would still "100% do it again.". The swimmer and Holly went public with their romance in 2023 and announced their engagement last year, before Ramsay let slip that they would be tying the knot at the end of 2025. 'It's going to be a Christmas wedding," the celebrity chef revealed during an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show. "They're looking at areas and venues and lots of planning." Giving the three-time Olympic champion his seal of approval, Ramsay added that he and Tana "couldn't ask for anyone better" to be their son-in-law. "He's a very nice guy,' he said. 'He's so down to earth and so focused and disciplined. "He sat us down in Cornwall and he said 'Holly is just the perfect woman. I'd like to get your blessing - from you and Tana for her hand in marriage'. It was that sort of amazing moment. Everything went quiet. "As a future son-in-law, we couldn't ask for anyone better. He's so grounded. Those two get on so well. It's a blessing.' Peaty was cheered on by Holly and his son George With their winter wedding now fast approaching, Holly has revealed that her father will be overseeing the food on the big day. "Oh my goodness, he's been so excited from the beginning," she told Closer Magazine. "We always talked about him doing the food." Announcing their engagement last year, Holly took to Instagram to write: "I am marrying my best friend. I truly cannot put into words how I am feeling right now. I still remember how big my smile was the morning I got home from my first date with you. "Thank you for letting the little girl inside of me feel loved, seen and happier than ever. I love you & I cannot wait to be your wife." Meanwhile, Peaty wrote: "I can't believe you're going to be my wife. I'm truly the luckiest man on earth to have such a gentle, caring and beautiful woman by my side. You fill my heart to the brim and give my soul peace." Former Blue Peter editor Biddy Baxter dies aged 92
Biddy Baxter, the pioneering television producer who transformed Blue Peter into a national institution, has died aged 92, the BBC said. As editor of the popular children's programme between 1965 and 1988, she introduced viewer engagement segments including the national appeals and the famous Blue Peter badge, encouraging children to send letters, pictures and programme ideas. Former presenter on the show Peter Duncan remembered her as 'a true force of nature'. He told BBC Breakfast: 'For me, she was a wonderful, inspiring person, and not just for her presenters, but for what she got onto BBC television, and the kind of things she projected about young people. 'She was a true enthusiast and a supporter of young people.' He added: 'She was truly a one-off within the BBC. I think that if something upset her, she would trail off to see the DG (director-general) and tell him what she thought, really. So we need people like that now more than ever.' Born Joan Maureen Baxter in Leicester to Bryan Reginald Baxter and Dorothy Vera (nee Briers), she studied at St Mary's College, Durham University, where she first encountered recruitment flyers for the BBC. She joined the public broadcaster as a radio studio manager in 1955, and was promoted to producing Schools Junior English programmes and Listen With Mother, before making the transition to television. Baxter took over as editor of Blue Peter in 1965, several years after the programme's launch. Baxter served as editor for more than two decades, winning two Bafta awards and receiving 12 nominations. Upon her departure from the show in 1988, she was awarded the programme's highest honour, a gold Blue Peter Badge. 'I didn't want to do anything other than Blue Peter,' she told The Guardian in 2013. 'I certainly never wanted to be an administrator or in charge of anything. 'It was an absolute dream and I never wanted to do anything else. 'It was a terrific time to be in television.' She continued to act as a consultant to BBC director-generals Lord Birt and Sir Michael Checkland after her departure, and received the special award at the Bafta Children's Awards in 2013.

BBC Strictly Come Dancing start date 'leaked' as fans express concern
BBC Strictly fans can expect to see the new series launch in September BBC Strictly fans are abuzz as it appears the launch date of the new series has been 'leaked' ahead of official confirmation. TV Zone claims on X, formerly Twitter, that the show is set to start a week later than it usually hits the schedule, at the end of September. The outlet posted: 'FYI - this year's Strictly is a week later than recent series, with the show launching on September 20. Hence, no celebrity reveals just yet.." A further claim from the publication suggests the first live show in the series will hit the airwaves on Saturday, September 27. Last year, the first live performances were broadcast on September 21, with the full run kicking off on September 14. And in 2023, Strictly launched on September 23, reports the Express. Fans took to X today after the news was 'leaked' to express their concern that the change in scheduling times would mean the show is on TV too close to the Christmas period, meaning the celebs and pro dancers taking part would not get to spend enough time with their loved ones. One said: 'Why so late? Does that mean the final will be closer to Christmas then? I just want the celebrity announcements." One added: "Yes, it's less than a week before Christmas, which has me worried that the pros are going to be in a hurry to go and see their families around the world .. I hope they were made aware of this when they renewed their contracts." A third said: "Final will be on Saturday December 20, 2025, just 5 days before Christmas." The BBC has already confirmed that the judging panel will return as normal, with Anton Du Beke, Motsi Mabuse, Craig Revel Horwood, and head judge Shirley Ballas, all signed up. There will also be some new faces on the dance floor this year, with Julian Cailon and Alexis Warr joining the programme as professional dancers. Earlier today, the first celebrity in the Strictly Come Dancing line up of 2025 was revealed. Olympic champion and Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey will take to the famous dancefloor for the new series in the autumn. The news was first revealed on Newsround this morning (Monday).
