In the film, which reunites Lohan with her onscreen mom Jamie Lee Curtis (as Tess Coleman), the Coleman family is turned upside down when Tess and Anna as well as Anna's daughter and soon-to-be stepdaughter all swap bodies.
Lohan already confirmed the return of the film's fictional band Pink Slip, comprised of Anna (Lohan) and her friends Maddie (Christina Vidal Mitchell) and Peg (Haley Hudson), who are set to rock out in Freakier Friday when the film hits theaters Aug. 8.
The Mean Girls star is no stranger to original music, having released two studio albums in the early aughts: 2004's Speak and 2005's A Little More Personal (Raw).
Asked if she'd ever consider getting back in the recording studio, she told Parade, 'The thing is, I feel like when I did music, I wasn't at a point in my life where I could do the music and then tour with the music. I was just kind of doing the albums and making the videos, and I didn't get to make all the videos. Like, it felt very rushed. So, yeah, I love music. I love writing.'
She added, 'Never say never.'
These days, what comes first for Lohan is her and her family's wellbeing. The actress is prioritizing the importance of revitalization by partnering with Pure Leaf to share how important short breaks are in your day.
Related:
'I think there's a moment in every day when you're just like, 'I need to take a break.' And that's why I wanted to work with Pure Leaf again for the second time,' she said. 'I really believe in the message of taking a break. And I love unsweetened Pure Leaf iced tea. It's my favorite.'
She added, 'I love the message. I value it deeply, especially being a mom who's always kind of multitasking so many things. It's important to take a minute for yourself and recharge and, you know, revitalize.'

Major Movie Star Confesses to an Unbelievable Revenge Plot Involving Sending Gorilla Poop to a Man Who Broke Her Friend's Heart

Major Movie Star Confesses to an Unbelievable Revenge Plot Involving Sending Gorilla Poop to a Man Who Broke Her Friend's Heart originally appeared on Parade. During a new lie detector test with Vanity Fair, released on Thursday, June 5, didn't hold back. The polygraph interview, her second with the publication, quickly took a surprising turn when the questions shifted to her loyalty. After establishing that she would lie to the police to protect her "lifelong" friend, actress , the interrogator upped the ante with a very specific, and very messy, examiner asked Johnson to confirm if she had "once sent a man who broke your friend's heart a gallon of gorilla [poop]." Without missing a beat, a smiling star of The Materialists confessed. 'I mean, there's no way that he would watch this, so, yes, I did do that,' she admitted, adding context that the vengeful act wasn't a recent affair. 'And it's been quite a while. It's been some years.' The off-camera interrogator, seemingly speaking for everyone watching, had to know more about the logistics. 'How would one order something like that? Asking for a friend,' he inquired. Johnson, ever helpful, was happy to share her source. Her go-to website for such a unique delivery is a service that specializes in mailing various types of animal feces. 'You can order any kind, any size,' the Madame Web star explained, a statement the polygrapher confirmed was 'truthful.' While her methods may be unconventional, the act stems from a place of deep loyalty, a theme that ran through the interview. In one segment of the video, she talked about meeting her friend Riley Keough at an In-N-Out Burger and affirmed her unwavering support for her friends. However, Johnson does have her limits. When asked if she also knew how to "order pubic crabs online," she drew the line with a laugh. 'No! Good Lord, I'm not a monster,' she exclaimed. The Fifty Shades of Grey star, who recently navigated her own public split from Coldplay frontman Chris Martin after a long-term relationship, did not disclose the identity of the friend she so fiercely defended. This latest polygraph session also saw her touch on her need for at least 10 hours of sleep, her preference for baths, and her past as a member of a band humorously named "Folky Porn." The entire interview paints a picture of an actress who, despite her private nature, is willing to get her hands dirty—or at least click "add to cart"—for the people she loves. According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, R-Truth's contract was so high that for the level they were using him they felt it made no sense to renew it. This news surprised some. He had literally just come off a program that led to a high-profile match with WWE Champ John Cena at Saturday Night's Main Event. Meltzer reported that the news of his exit was met with significant unhappiness within the WWE locker room. There were a lot of wrestlers who were very unhappy because he was so popular with the talent. WWE fans also voiced their support, with chants for R-Truth on the June 2nd episode of Raw after his departure became public. The situation was reportedly handled carefully backstage. Meltzer noted, "Talent was reportedly told no R-Truth T-shirts on Raw, but Rhea Ripley was wearing one backstage and took it off before going on TV." Meltzer stated that those in TNA have already said that they want to make him an offer, and for that company, he'll come in fairly hot. This would mark a significant homecoming for the star. Truth had a historic run in TNA from 2002 to 2007 between his WWE stints. Wrestling as Ron "The Truth" Killings, he became a main event player in TNA. In August 2002, he made history by defeating Ken Shamrock to become the first-ever recognized African-American NWA World Heavyweight Champion. It was a title he would go on to hold a second time. During his TNA tenure, he also showcased his charisma as a founding member of the popular 3Live Kru faction alongside Konnan and B.G. James (formerly Road Dogg in WWE). TNA is where he also held tag team gold. His time in TNA featured a more serious and aggressive persona compared to the comedic character he later perfected in his second, lengthy WWE run. It would also give him a chance to return to WWE if he so wanted to do so one day as TNA and WWE have a working relationship. More WWE News: For more on WWE, head to Newsweek Sports.
