Liam and Noel Gallagher's brother Paul dropped from Oasis afterparty after rape
Paul Gallagher will no longer perform at an official afterparty in Dublin this weekend, ahead of his scheduled court appearance later this month. The elder brother of Oasis frontmen Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher, 59, had been due to DJ at The Grand Social on Saturday to coincide with the band's two sold-out Croke Park shows on August 16 and 17. The venue confirmed that he had been removed from the line-up, with Mani of The Stone Roses now set to perform on Saturday night, and former Creation Records boss Alan McGee on Sunday. In July, the Metropolitan Police announced Gallagher had been charged with multiple offences, including rape, coercive and controlling behaviour, three counts of sexual assault, three counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of making a threat to kill, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. In a statement to Metro, a spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: 'The offences are reported to have taken place between 2022 – 2024. The charges follow an investigation that commenced in 2024. A woman is being supported by specially-trained officers.' Gallagher, who lives in East Finchley, north London, is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, August 27. The afterparties are part of a series of fan events organised by Up Close and Personal Promotions to accompany the Oasis Live '25 tour, the long-awaited reunion announced last August. It was previously reported that Liam has moved his brother Paul into his £4million mansion ahead of his court date this month. According to The Sun, younger brother Liam is supporting his older sibling by allowing him to stay at his home in North London. A source for the publication also reports that Liam flew Paul to the band's latest gig in Edinburgh, utilising a £3.5million private jet. Pictures obtained by The Sun on Sunday depict Liam and Paul arriving at Luton airport, where they laughed and joked before hopping on the private jet together. Another image shows Paul at Liam's London mansion, dragging wheely luggage behind him as he carries a heavy backpack. A source told the publication: 'Liam is supporting Paul through this. He invited him to stay with him at his house before they travelled to Edinburgh. 'Paul looked like he was moving in and had two large suitcases. When he was at the airport he only had one smaller case.' More Trending 'It says a lot about Liam. He has an incredibly hectic schedule at the moment because of the tour — but he wants to be there for his big brother.' The third Gallagher sibling has never been a member of Oasis, but worked as a DJ and photographer while the band toured back in the day. The reunion tour began in Cardiff in July, before heading to Manchester, London, and Edinburgh, and will continue across Ireland and Europe in the coming weeks. Oasis last performed together in 2009, when a backstage row between Liam and Noel Gallagher led to their dramatic split,. Got a story? Brit actor looks unrecognisable from his famous childhood role as he watches Oasis with Tom Grennan
THE BRITISH actor looks unrecognisable from his famous kiddie days as he watches Oasis live - and he's got singer Tom Grennan right by his side. The child star has swapped scripts for stadium vibes, soaking up every beat of the iconic Britpop legends. 5 5 Fans barely recognised him as he rocked up in casual threads, sporting a fresh new look that's miles from his on-screen past. He was the scruffy kid on the streets of Sheffield, but these days you'll find him front and centre at some of the UK's biggest music gigs and festivals. It's Thomas Turgoose — best known for his breakout role in This Is England — who has come a long way since those gritty days on screen. Nowadays, the actor is embracing a more laid-back, music-loving side, swapping the streets of Sheffield for the front row at some of the UK's biggest gigs. Thomas shared just how much he enjoyed the Oasis gig — even admitting he'd blown his life savings on the tickets. But the actor insisted it was worth it. Joining him in the crowd was pop singer Tom Grennan, best known for his hit singles, including "Little Bit of Love" and "Remind Me." Whether it's rocking out to Britpop legends or hanging out with the latest chart-toppers, Thomas knows how to enjoy life beyond the spotlight. He took to Instagram to share snaps from the concert, capturing the electric atmosphere with shots of the packed crowd, the dazzling stage lights, and of course, his gig buddy Tom Grennan. The pair looked in high spirits, grinning for the camera with pints of beer in hand, proving it was a night to remember for both music and mates. Andrew Shim and Stephen Graham star in iconic This Is England scene as Combo and Milky Thomas wrote: "They've done it again. And honestly that won't be the last time. "Spending me life savings on oasis tickets and I don't give a f*** about it." Fans can't get over how much he's changed since playing Shaun. The youngster, who was well-known for his short locks and baby-faced looks in the blockbuster, now sports noticeably longer, blonde locks. This Is England: Where are they now? This Is England, set in 1983, was a huge success when released in the noughties. The film was so well-loved that it spawned three TV series, which followed the characters in the years 86, 88, and 90. But what are the cast up to now? Thomas Turgoose (Shaun) The baby-faced star who stole the show as Shaun has grown up into a versatile actor. Thomas reprised his role in This Is England '86, '88 and '90*, before landing parts in Outlaw, The Scouting Book for Boys and Kingsman: The Secret Service. He's also been spotted living it up at music festivals and gigs — and yes, he's still close pals with his castmates. Vicky McClure (Lol) From skinhead queen to one of TV's most in-demand actresses, Vicky's career rocketed after This Is England. She's now best known for playing DI Kate Fleming in Line of Duty, racking up BAFTA awards and a legion of fans. She's also fronted ITV's Trigger Point and continues to champion mental health causes. Joe Gilgun (Woody) The lovable, laid-back Woody is now just as beloved off-screen. Joe went on to star in Misfits, play a vampire in US hit Preacher, and create the semi-autobiographical comedy-drama Brassic, where he also takes the lead. Stephen Graham (Combo) Already a powerhouse actor before This Is England, Stephen cemented his reputation with his raw, emotional turn as Combo. Since then, he's starred in Boardwalk Empire, Time, Boiling Point and The Walk-In, earning critical acclaim and BAFTA nominations. Andrew Shim (Milky) Milky's heartbreaking storyline left fans in bits, and Andrew's kept busy with acting roles and TV appearances, as well as work behind the camera. He's also been involved in sports and charity work. Rosamund Hanson (Smell) From quirky style queen to serious stage and screen actress, Rosamund's worked steadily in British TV and theatre since This Is England, including roles in Fresh Meat and Doctors. Andrew Ellis (Gadget) The cheeky, loyal Gadget has popped up in shows like Afterlife, This England and Top Boy, and remains a familiar face in gritty dramas. He has swapped his shaven head - seen in the first film - for a fuller head of hair, which he styles up in a swept-back quiff. Shaun, the scrappy but lovable kid from This Is England, captured hearts with his raw honesty and street-smart attitude. This Is England, set in 1983, was a huge success when released in the noughties - and followed Thomas' character Shaun as he earned the respect of a gang of skinheads after he stood up to them. He was aged just 13 when he landed the role, but Thomas brought the character to life with such authenticity, making Shaun feel like one of us — a kid trying to find his place in a tough world. This Is England wasn't just a hit — it became a cultural phenomenon, pulling in millions of viewers and earning rave reviews for its honest portrayal of youth and Britain in the '80s. The original film scored an impressive 7.9 million viewers on its debut broadcast, while the follow-up TV series continued to captivate audiences, regularly hitting over 4 million viewers per episode. Critics praised its gritty storytelling and powerful performances, cementing its place as one of the UK's most beloved dramas of the decade. Thomas won the Most Promising Newcomer award at the British Independent Film Awards (BIFAs) in 2006 for his role as Shaun in This Is England. He was also nominated for Best Actor at the British Independent Film Awards and received recognition from several critics' groups, but the BIFA win is the big one tied to his breakout performance. Since This Is England, Thomas has kept busy, taking on a mix of film and TV roles that show off his range. From gritty dramas like This Is England '90 and This Is England '86 to roles in Outlaw and The Journey, he's proved he's no one-hit wonder. He has starred in a number of programmes, including The Innocence Project and Somers Town, as well as a cameo in Game of Thrones. The talented star has acted in Kingsman: The Golden Circle and Swimming with Men, and sci-fi show Intergalactic. He has also been a guest on BBC gameshow Pointless Celebrities and featured in The Scouting Book For Boys outside of acting. Thomas married his long-term partner Charlotte Revell in 2019 in a picturesque New Year's Eve ceremony, with his former castmates by his side. Jo Hartley, who played his onscreen mum Cynth, Stephen Graham, who played Combo, Andrew Shim, who starred as Milky, and Andrew Ellis, who portrayed Gadget, were also in attendance. Away from the screen, Thomas has also become a familiar face at music festivals and live gigs. Where will he end up next? 5 5 5

Liam Gallagher's hilarious seven-word comment about Murrayfield Oasis crowds
A Scots Oasis super fan hailed frontman Liam Gallagher 'amazing' after he bumped into him following the band's first two shows in Edinburgh at the weekend A Scots dad who bumped into Liam Gallagher whilst out with his family described the rock star as being "warm and funny". The Oasis frontman was spotted strolling around the grounds of The Gleneagles Hotel in Auchterarder on Sunday. Liam had been taking some much-needed rest after performing two gigs at Edinburgh's Murrayfield stadium in the capital city. Jonathan Dunn was taking a walk with his two children when he recognised Liam. The Oasis star was joined by his fiancée and manager Debbie Gwyther. Jonathan, together with his children Harrison and Saffie, said Liam was "not in the slightest bit dismissive" and had a proper chat with the family before posing for photos. The dad had attended Murrayfield on Friday, August 8 for Oasis' opening night in Edinburgh. After mentioning his attendance to Liam, the musician responded: "Youse lot are off yer f***in heads." Liam and Noel Gallagher are set to return to the stage at Murrayfield on Tuesday, August 12, for their final Scottish show. Speaking to Edinburgh Live, Jonathan revealed: "I live in Auchterarder and went up to Gleneagles yesterday afternoon with my two kids, Harrison, 14, and Saffie, 7. "We were walking on the lawn and I said to Harrison 'I'm sure that's Liam Gallagher over there?' I've been a huge fan for 30 years and seen them countless times over the years, including twice already on this tour. "He was with his fiance and manager Debbie, I asked if I could please bother him for a photo and he couldn't have been more friendly. I told him I was at Murrayfield on Friday and he said, 'Youse lot are off yer f***in heads!'." He continued: "I introduced him to Harrison who said to him, 'Dad took me to Heaton Park a couple of weeks ago, it was insane!' To which he replied, 'it's you lot who are insane, I didn't do anything!' "He then said to Harrison, 'Come on, you get in for a photo too' and gave him a first pump. They say don't meet your heros, well if your hero is Liam Gallagher then I say you absolutely have to! "He was absolutely amazing! Warm, funny, not in the slightest bit dismissive. Shout out to Debbie too." While Liam might think the Edinburgh crowds are 'off their heads', he remains seething with the local council and is 'still waiting for an apology' over a report which suggested the band's fans would be "rowdy" and "intoxicated". While on stage on Friday at their first show, the musician ranted: "One second, where do I start here with everyone at the city council, the f*****g s***s. "£1 billion pounds we're bringing to this city over the next three days. £1billion. But you won't see any of it."
