Carla Connor (Alison King) and Lisa Swain's (Vicky Myers) romance has taken Coronation Street fans by storm, garnering a cult following across the globe.
'It's brilliant, isn't it?' Vicky Myers enthused to me when I caught up with her at the British Soap Awards.
'And it's testament to [the fans] that they've invested in us and they've obviously seen something in us that they can relate to, that they feel.'
In their relatively short relationship, Carla and Lisa have faced plenty of challenges, have already 'u-hauled' and have one botched proposal under their belts.
From kidnappings to kidney failure, murder to shootings, they've been through more in the past few months than anyone would hope to experience in a lifetime.
However, Vicky assured me that there are some 'really happy' times ahead, among some more struggles.
'There is a lot coming, but there's also periods of time that they're really happy, and there's periods of time when it's not going so well, but that's indicative of any relationship, isn't it? And any family life. And living together in the small flat… Let's see how they navigate all of that!'
That family life is something we reflected on closely during our chat.
'It is refreshing,' Vicky said, of seeing a family with two mums on-screen.
'And I think all the feelings that are involved in it and navigating that, and then coupled with the grief that Lisa and Betsy are feeling, and Carla understanding that. More Trending
'It's a completely different relationship that Carla has had. I don't want to speak on behalf of Ali but we do talk about it. And long may it continue!'
And of course, we couldn't leave out that recent suggestion of an Ibiza wedding, which Vicky is very keen for!

It's also a tough week for Lisa - as Carla confides in Betsy that she's worried for her partner. However, Betsy only adds to the worry as Lisa soon catches her daughter snooping through some of her old files. If the emotions of the weeks on goings weren't enough for Lisa, she's set for another shock when she learns her daughter has lied about her whereabouts. Unbeknownst to Lisa, Betsy shows best friend Lauren a picture on her phone of the letter she found containing information on her mum, Becky, and is intent on getting answers. She then seeks support from Lauren, who accompanies her to the prison visiting room where she prepares to meet Logan, the villainous brother of Mason and Matty Radcliffe. Betsy tells him she's here to find out what really happened to Becky. But will Logan's return come with the answers she needs? However, it's not long before Steve lets slip to Lisa and Carla that Betsy has lied about her whereabouts and in fact ordered a cab to Highfield Prison. How will Lisa and Carla react? Betsy's not the only one in trouble - as Maria's shock altercation leaves her in trouble with the police. During the Platts barbeque, Maria demands Lou empties her pockets after assuming she's stolen money from Shona. But are Maria's accusations correct? The drama later escalates when Lou is found on the living room floor with a broken coffee table - with Maria standing over her. The police quickly arrive and tell Maria they're arresting her on suspicion of ABH. But did she do it? Elsewhere, there could be more upset for Todd after saying goodbye to his mother Eileen last week. He's left gutted when Theo cancels their date - could their relationship be on the rocks?

John questioned by police on Nate's murder in Emmerdale
In the wake of the discovery of Nate Robinson's (Jurell Carter) untimely Emmerdale death, accusations are flying, but it's John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) who is sweating. Murderous John seemed to be high and dry after the dredging of the lake was called off, and with Aidan slipping back into his coma – the other person who could blow his cover – he smugly returned to the village to resume the new life he'd created for himself. But reality came back to bite him on the bum when they dredged the lake anyway and Nate's body was finally found. It's badly decomposed so it'll be harder for the police to gather much if any DNA, but there will be a thorough investigation regardless and John is not in the clear. Then his worst living nightmare comes true – the police show up to question him about the day Nate disappeared. Having got away with things for this long he plays it cool. But as it turns out, it's not him they're after – it's Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley). Now this does not a happy Cain make, and though the finger isn't pointing at John, John still needs to work hard to protect Cain from going down for a crime he didn't commit – especially in the wake of Tracy Shankley's (Amy Walsh) accusation towards him. Tracy later walks passed and Sam Dingle (James Hooton) can't resist giving her what for. Cain is left shaken and puts voice to a dark thought that he believes Tracy did away with her ex. Finger firmly pointed, Tracy feebly tries to defend herself, but John concocts a dreadful plan to take the heat off Cain. The police soon arrive at Tug Ghyll with a search warrant and make a massive discovery – Nate's phone in Frankie's playhouse. Now the fear sets in for Tracy as she realises how bad things are starting to look – just wait until they find out she's been using his credit card too. But before they even get that far, they learn there is no record of the removal men who came to collect Nate's stuff – the ones that Tracy was the only one to interact with. Coronation Street confirms huge Lisa shock as Betsy star reacts
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video There's a tough week ahead for Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) in Coronation Street next week, as she faces Craig Tinker's memorial service – but there's more trouble on the cards. As she and Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) admit how difficult the event will be, with Kit revealing that the family have asked him to make a speech, Carla Connor (Alison King) confides in Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) that she's worried about Lisa. In a bid to help Lisa take her mind off things, Carla comes up with a plan. As the day of Craig's memorial service arrives, Lisa apologises to Carla, before setting about distracting herself by going through some old files. However, when Betsy comes snooping and tries to take a peek at one of the files, Lisa snatches it from her, leaving the curious teen intrigued. Desperate to know what her mum was so keen to hide, Betsy confronts Lisa, who is quick to lie. She tells Betsy that the file contains information about Betsy's paternity, and that she can't see it until she turns 18. When Lisa arrives at the memorial service and notices Kit's absence, she is worried, but soon steps up in his place to deliver a moving speech for Craig. Meanwhile, Betsy clearly wants to know more about her mysterious findings, as Carla later returns home and catches her going through Lisa's files – but what exactly has she dug up? When Betsy shows a picture of the letter she's found to Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton), she reveals that she intends to get to the bottom of it… When we caught up with actresses Cait and Sydney at the British Soap Awards, Cait shared her reaction to the twists in this story, saying: 'I was tired reading it!' 'There is a lot of drama coming up!' Sydney agreed, continuing: 'I'm intrigued for people to see it!' When Lisa asks Betsy to join her for lunch the next day, Betsy makes out that she's meeting Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne), who has recently been released from the STC. However, that proves to be a lie when she and Lauren enter the prison visiting room. As Betsy admits that she's a nervous wreck, is she set to make a deal with the devil? Meanwhile, Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) drops her right in it when he lets slip to Lisa and Carla that Betsy ordered a cab to Highfield Prison. How will they react? As dramatic as this story is set to be, both Sydney Martin and Vicky Myers promised moments of light. 'I don't know how much we can say but there's some exciting stuff coming up,' Sydney promised. 'There's also some really sweet, important scenes in there. I can't go into detail, but I'm glad that they're airing.' More Trending Later in the evening, Vicky told us that 'there is a lot' still to come. 'There is a lot coming, but there's also periods of time that they're really happy, and there's periods of time when it's not going so well, but that's indicative of any relationship, isn't it?
