With the fifth and final season of Stranger Things set to premiere later this year, the makers are leaving no stone unturned in creating hype. As per the hints, it looks like the final instalment of Netflix's sci-fi horror is going to be the biggest and wildest season yet as Eleven and her team prepare to go all out against their biggest threat yet: Vecna and stop the Upside Down from taking over Hawkins.
Ross Duffer, one of the creators of Stranger Things, took to his Instagram account on Sunday, August 3, sharing an exciting update on the upcoming season. Posting two pictures from an editing studio, he revealed that the first two episodes of Stranger Things season 5 are ready. In the caption, he wrote, 'Chapters One and Two: locked, mixed, scored, colored, DONE."
The show's creator added, ''The Crawl' is our favourite, most eventful first episode since Season 1." The pilot episode of Stranger Things, titled Chapter One: The Vanishing of Will Byers, released on July 15, 2016, began the story of the sci-fi thriller and made it a global phenomenon. The introductory sequence of the first episode of season 1 not only introduced the monsters, who came to be known as Demogorgon, but also showed how a younger Will fought against them.

Further in the post, Ross talked about episode 2 of the fifth season, saying, ''The Vanishing of…' (yeah yeah you think you know who blah blah) has by far the craziest cold open we've ever done. One of the sequences we're most proud of this season." He did not reveal who disappears in the second episode of the upcoming season. Ross ended the note, teasing, 'I would tell you runtimes, but I was told not to. At a later date, I guess."

To end this nightmare, they'll need everyone — the full party — standing together, one last time."
In a bid to make the grand finale an event, Netflix is releasing Season 5 across three dates. Volume 1 will drop on November 26, Volume 2 will arrive on December 25, and the final instalment will release on New Year's Eve. The returning cast includes Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Joe Keery, and Maya Hawke, among others. Jamie Campbell Bower returns as the sinister Vecna.
