Kaizer Chiefs Nabi gives a report on his first season
Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has told the media that his laboured first season with Amakhosi was expected.
According to the Tunisian coach, a transition season is always tough to endure. Amakhosi finished in ninth place with only eight wins from 28 matches.
However, Nabi ended the club's decade-long trophy drought with the Nedbank Cup title.

'But after going everything this season, now there is a clear path to know what we need to do and what decisions we need to take in order to improve next season.
'That said, not finishing in the top eight is a disappointment, although it doesn't undermine the effort the players have put in and what we have achieved, which is to win the Nedbank Cup.
'Not every team can say they have won a trophy this season. Kaizer Chiefs fans should take pride in that and enjoy it.
'I want to remain honest, as I have been since the beginning, so I say that we came here to rebuild the team and at the start of that process one can't expect results to flow immediately.
'All of our decisions are governed by the process. Whether we win or lose, at this stage it is about assessing where we are in the process of converting this team into a successful one,' the Kaizer Chiefs mentor added.

Apparently Kaizer Chiefs have shown keen interest in these two players. It will all depend on the talks now on which one they can sign or if they sign both. But Nabi and another Chiefs official (Tera Maliwa) were here to look at those players last month,' Another source admits that Simba have asked Chiefs to pay R10 million for their prized asset Ahoua. Jose Riveiro reveals the real reason he left Orlando Pirates?
Earlier this year, Jose Riveiro dropped a bombshell when he announced that he would not extend his stay when his contract at Orlando Pirates expired. At the time he made the announcement, the Buccaneers were well poised to win at least two trophies, but poor form saw the team finish with just the MTN8, which they won at the beginning of the season. Jose Riveiro might have had success at Pirates, but time away from his family took a toll on him. Given Egypt is much closer to Spain, it makes sense why he decided to relocate and coach in North Africa. His wife's love for Egypt made his decision to leave Pirates muach easier. Kaizer Chiefs cool interest in Terrence Mashego
Kaizer Chiefs are actively searching for a new left-back, but recent developments suggest that Terrence Mashego of Mamelodi Sundowns is no longer on their radar. Despite being linked with the 29-year-old, the Glamour Boys appear to have shifted their attention elsewhere. Mashego, who joined Sundowns in September 2022, may exit the club at the end of June. His future hangs in the balance, especially with Sundowns keen to secure the services of Stellenbosch FC's Fawaaz Basadien.
