By: Azmie Lim Text Size: The suspects and the seized items. LAHAD DATU: Police arrested three men and seized suspected syabu worth RM8,063 during a raid at a hut in Kampung Ubi, Jalan Kenangan. The operation was carried out by the Narcotic Crime Investigation Division of the Lahad Datu Police Headquarters.
Advertisement Acting District Police Chief Supt Jimmy Panyau said officers confiscated 73.30 grams of syabu and drug-related paraphernalia during the raid. Urine tests revealed that two of the suspects tested positive for Methamphetamine and Amphetamine. Azam Baki confirms possible prosecutions in Sabah graft case

Beaufort teacher found safe after going missing in buffalo search

BEAUFORT: A teacher from SK Padang Berempah, Ag Kujai Wahab, 52, who went missing while searching for his buffaloes on Thursday morning, was found safe on Friday afternoon. District Fire and Rescue Station chief Ishak Jabas said a search and rescue (SAR) operation was launched with the help of police and local villagers. Advertisement The victim was reported missing by his family after he failed to return from the Nabahan Weston area, where he had gone to look for his buffaloes. The fire team travelled by boat from the Weston jetty to Kampung Nabahan and established an incident command post to coordinate the operation. Third conviction sees Kuching junkie jailed 5 months, ordered caned
Tony at the court following the proceedings. – Photo by Kentigern Minggu KUCHING (June 6): A habitual drug user was sentenced by the Sessions Court here today to five months' imprisonment and two strokes of the cane for abusing amphetamine and methamphetamine. Judge Musli Ab Hamid convicted Tony Kuswadi Martin, 42, on his own guilty plea to a charge under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, punishable under Section 39C(1)(b) of the same Act. The Section provides for imprisonment of not less than five years and not more than seven years, and whipping of up to three strokes, upon conviction. Tony was also ordered to undergo two years of police supervision upon his release from prison. He was tested positive for the two drugs at the Kuching Narcotics Criminal Investigation Division office at around 2pm on June 2, 2025. It was informed that the accused has two prior convictions, in 2017 and 2022, for the same offence.
