‘Galatasaray fans gave Osimhen something he never experienced' at Napoli
The centre-forward is set to finally complete his permanent transfer to Galatasaray for €75m after the two clubs agreed on a payment structure and adequate financial guarantees.
It comes after he spent last season on loan in Istanbul, where he scored 37 goals and provided eight assists in 41 competitive appearances.

'We will complete the transfer very soon, I believe it will be finalised as soon as possible,' coach Okan Buruk told Tivibu Spor in Turkey, via Sports Digitale.
There were more lucrative proposals on the table from Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia, who Napoli would've preferred to sell to for immediate payment, but the player was determined to stay in Istanbul.

Osimhen was given a very warm welcome by Napoli fans when first arriving and became a hero when helping them to their first Serie A title in over 30 years, as well as being crowned Capocannoniere.
However, after agreeing a new €10m per season contract, he told the club that he wanted to move on and struggled to find anyone ready to pay the €110m release clause.
His move on loan to Galatasaray in September 2024 was because the other transfer markets had shut and he faced the prospect of sitting in the stands for at least six months.

Three more Barcelona stars come out in support of Marc-Andre ter Stegen as captain
After Frenkie de Jong came out in support of Marc-Andre ter Stegen as captain of Barcelona, a string of his teammates have followed. Ter Stegen is currently engaged in something of a silent battle with the club, who are unhappy with his stance on his future. Manager Hansi Flick stepped back from the matter earlier this week, explaining that he would be putting the matter to a vote amongst the players, following talk that Barcelona could remove the captaincy from ter Stegen. French cyclist Aude Biannic says she rode cobbled classic Paris-Roubaix while unknowingly pregnant
French cyclist Aude Biannic has revealed that she was pregnant without knowing while riding cobbled classic Paris-Roubaix in 2024. Biannic, who races for Movistar Team did not take a test before the cobbled classics, Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix — despite noting her period was late — as she wanted to concentrate on the famous one-day races. I couldn't have raced it knowing that I was pregnant,' the Movistar rider told French outlet L'Equipe this week, having originally announced it on the team's website last year. 'I continued to train for months, but without intensity, just to have fun and clear my mind. I put off stopping my riding as long as possible…the night before I gave birth, I was even wondering if I wasn't going to go for a little ride. 'I don't know whether it was the high level of cycling that meant I had far less nausea and complications than a normal person. I continued to train for months on end, but not intensively, just to enjoy myself and clear my head.' Biannic eventually stepped away from cycling in August last year and gave birth to a son, Noah, in November, before returning to competition in May. She is currently competing in the Tour de France Femmes, which ends on Sunday after nine days of racing through the country. She is the only mother in the peloton and spoke in 2024 via Movistar that she enjoyed a very calm pregnancy, but this week expanded on her experience. 'Once or twice, I had contractions while cycling,' Biannic said. 'I wasn't very reassured. In terms of medical follow-up, both with my gynecologist and within my team, I was a bit of a guinea pig for everything. I didn't get much advice, other than to trust my feelings.' The Frenchwoman has been with her team since its inception in 2018, the only Movistar rider to have done so. Movistar's Marlen Reusser abandoned this year's Tour after the first stage after suffering with a stomach bug. ()
